I recently booked a room at this Holiday Inn due to unexpected flight delays, so this was not a leisure trip but rather a stressful situation we did not anticipate. Unfortunately, the experience started off on a bad note. The booking agent was not only disrespectful but also used a derogatory term that was deeply upsetting in an already tense situation. When we arrived, the hotel staff inside did their best to make our party feel welcome. The service within the hotel was warm and professional, and our room was clean and comfortable, which provided some much-needed relief. However, the shuttle service to and from O’Hare Airport added more stress. Beyond timing issues, the behavior of the shuttle staff was also unprofessional and unsettling. I witnessed name-calling and derogatory remarks directed at passengers. The drivers seemed unfamiliar with the hotel location, repeatedly asking for the full address, including the zip code, and becoming visibly frustrated when passengers could not provide it. At one point, a driver even raised their voice, which added unnecessary stress to an already challenging day. I reached out to the IHG customer service afterward, but their response left me disappointed. While the service within the hotel itself was wonderful, I would advise future guests to be cautious about the booking and shuttle experiences.

With an unexpected overnight near O’Hare due to airport understaffing delays, we had to scramble to find overnight accommodations. Our experience at this property couldn’t have been better!! The shuttle driver from airport was conversational and helpful, the staff at checkin were fairly overwhelmed with travelers in same situation as us and handled it all amazingly and efficiently! The room was very clean and up to date! Loved both our late dinner and our breakfast at restaurant inside hotel. And the price for all that goodness was just remarkable! Thank you!

Good stay, bad instructions on shuttle pick up.
The stay overall was good. Was able to check-in a lot earlier than given time. Just sucks that when I booked the hotel, it advertised as “breakfast included with stay” but it was actually for the other hotel that was joined under this management. When booking they should not have mentioned that with Holiday Inn. Instead just mentioned it with their other hotel that was also on the property. Another issue I had was when the shuttle was coming to pick us up from the airport. Before we arrive, we got an email stating where to go. We followed the prompts and arrived to terminal 2E where it stated. We waited 1-2 hours for the shuttle, where pick up zone was but the driver did not stop for us for pick up. Called the front desk & asked why their driver is not stopping. The lady over the phone was telling us that we are in the wrong location. Driver only picks up at Terminal 2E “LL” lower level. Nowhere on the email or phone prompt does it state to wait on the lower level at O’Hare airport! We finally got picked up after calling and confirming correct location of pick up. Holiday Inn, please update your email and phone prompt of correct location of pick up so it doesn’t confuse your future guest! This was the only real issue that bothered me the most about my stay.
