No where to sit and dine

Stay was very nice the only issue we had was that there was no prior notice regarding the state of the two places to eat within the hotel (a huge part of the reason we booked here was to stay put and eat in the hotel.) upon call to the desk that evening discovered the Roof location was closed until 1/11 and we were directed to the downstairs location - upon our arrival down there we were informed that it too was under improvements and was not open to be able to sit at an actual table and eat. Since we had not made any other arrangements, we were forced to dine at the bar. Food was good and drinks were good however we had not planned on spending the money we did to stay at a hotel where we had to dine while sitting at the actual Bar.

Hotel is solid, We had to change rooms because our initial bed sheets were dirty but they were very helpful getting us a new room after I mentioned it. Hotel is a bit older feeling and not super modern but still very nice and I’d stay here again

The property is very nice, neat, upscale and the staff is friendly. Did not like being charged a Destination Fee that they told me if I clicked on a little green circle with an exclamation point in it I would have seen when I booked. Please tell people what the full charge is going to be and not hide extra charges expecting people to go look for them. That fee gave me a negative feeling about what prior was very nice and I paid well for the room already.Offering me $$$ back at the bar or buying candy etc doesn't work as I would have never visited the bar or bought other items. No matter how you slice it the fees made the room cost even more.

Old on new

While it may be a little outdated with new on top of old and much needed plumbing, including the toilets for tots, which were so low I felt I was in the woods, leaning up against a tree to do my business. Other than that the service was excellent, and the location is stupendous, right there in “the loop.”
