Nice hotel but the sound proofing is quite poor so bring your ear plugs. The staff was not of the quality that we expected from a hotel of this stature. Just a ‘meh’ experience, not worth the elevated rate.

I love staying at the Langham when I'm in Chicago. Location is great; hotel services are lovely; rooms are updated and comfortable. I did have one small problem this time, though. I stayed in a club-level king room, and for some reason, I was able to hear everything happening in 1 or more of the rooms around me. I'm not sure if it was coming from upstairs or next door, but neighboring patrons were having a conversation at 1:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, and I immediately lamented my lack of earplugs. While I remedied that issue for my Saturday night of sleep, I really shouldn't have to rely on earplugs to help me not hear my neighbor's convo in a 5 star hotel. This hasn't been an issue when I've stayed on other floors of this hotel, so I'll be sure to ask for something other than club level for future stays. The Chuan Spa is amazing, and I highly recommend making time for at least 1 service while you visit the Langham.

I loved, loved, loved my stay here. I stayed with my 2 young children and they had a blast. The pool was great and they have a “Kids Suite” it’s for smaller children but my 5 & 7 yo enjoyed it too. The staff gave us paddington bear cookies for the kids it was something small but my children were so delighted by such a small gesture. 10/10 recommend and definitely will be staying here when we return to Chicago in the near future. Chicago is definitely a vibe and the proximity to river walk is so convenient.

We dropped off a suit for dry cleaning the morning of our arrival and told them we needed it by 7pm the following day for a dinner reservation. They informed us that would be no problem at all. After confirming at 4, that it would be in our room by 7, we waited until after 7 and it still had not arrived. We were told it was being sent up and on its way. 7:15, still no suit. We went down and spoke to the front desk who said it was still on its way. Finally arrived at 7:30 making us late to our reservation. I would never expect this experience and service at a 5 star hotel. It was completely inexcusable.
