My husband, son and i were traveling back from a wedding in Pennsylvania to Nebraska. My son ( 22 ) said he would like to wake up Christmas morning in Chicago. I looked on hotels.com and we found a boutique hotel in downtown Chicago. I had never been to Chicago before so i was amazed and LOVED BEING DOWNTOWN!!!

Pictures online make this place look a lot nicer. So it was a little disappointing walking in. Checking in was easy. However parking is only valet and very expensive. The wait is very long to get your car. Elevators were small and took a long time to get on. Our room was small, clean, but the shower bottles of bodywash shampoo and conditioner were empty. For the price, this place was decent.

My only gripe concerning this otherwise pleasant stay was the front desk's assertion that valet parking ($72) was their only parking option when there was a lot 2 buildings down. Barring that, nice modest hotel, clean and quiet in good area.

Upon arrival, the customer service was great, hotel was cute and clean . Got to my room & everything was clean. Small rooms so only good for short stays. I left the property and came back and 1 elevator was down (they had 2 , both very small) so both days there were issues getting to my room n lobby. On the day of check out, i was headed down to the lobby to check out, the elevator took 12 minutes to get to the floor i was on and when it did , a housekeeper was on it with a cart so i could not fit. I had to walk down 13 flights of stairs with my luggage. When i got the to bottom, the staff who was not there when i checked in, did not acknowledge that myself & 5 others had walked down those flights of steps . Getting to the bottom out of breath they did not greet me at all other than asking what i needed or if i was checking out & when finished they let me walk off without saying a word. Location was good yes, overall stay was absolutely a never again .

Perfect location
Parking is always crazy in Chicago. The rooms were very small and the bathroom door didn’t stay closed. It was a barn style door and would roll open. Not great when traveling with others. The water didn’t get hot. These are the reasons I didn’t rate this a 5, but the location was perfect! The hotel staff was friendly enough and the beds were cozy enough. I would stay here again!

Hotel looks nice from the outside, but each floor is very old and dirty looking. I was originally assigned a room that smelled like weed and febreeze. It was so strong that I couldn't breath properly in the room. I asked the front desk to switch rooms and they promptly did so. My 2nd room was clean and did not have an oder however the experience was definitely tainted. If you're single or in a couple and need a budget option you can do it for a night or two. But it's not the most pleasant hotel experience.
