Virgin Hotel Chicago is a great place to stay when visiting Chicago. The location is excellent to walk around the downtown area and tourist attraction. The bed is probably the most comfortable we have ever slept in! The only negative about the hotel is the roof top patio/bar…if it wasn’t for the awesome view this would be a must to do especially at night… but… there always seemed to be a private function going on and as hotel guests we were restricted to spend any enjoyable time there, it seemed to cater to local parties rather then the paying guests, I was even field searched before entering the patio area on Friday night to simply enjoy a cocktail… really! The pictures of the roof top are deceiving, as it is not that large and was unsure why most tables were reserved during the day when there was no one there? Other then that the hotel I would recommend this hotel for your next visit to CHICAGO!

The service was consistently excellent. The hotel is in a convenient location and there are great dining and drinking options within the hotel itself. I was traveling with my dog and the hotel is extremely dog friendly.

We loved the room. Especially the shower. The location was perfect to the trains and points of interest. Roof top bar had great views. Food at the restaurant was tasty with unique options. Could you improvement on check in. Room not ready at the check in time. Would have like a microwave. Expected 2-ply toilet paper.

Not enough people working check in/out desk (1) Nespresso machine was not in room nor an option as I saw online Roof top bar was closed completely to guests for a corporate event- were told this at check in and that it would reopen to us at 9:30 m. We went up at 9:30pm to be told it was still being used and come back at 10 pm. When we came back a second time there were mobs of people up there and lines at both bar areas 10-20 people deep. It took 20 minutes to get a drink we had wanted to have on the roof top hours before. I wish we would have known this before booking. It was a major factor for choosing the Virgin.

I nearly lost my room because I didn’t know I needed to inform them I’d be arriving late and I was fortunate enough be helped by Danny and La’tise at the front desk. It was such a wonderful place and I’d definitely go back. I had the best time.

Would definitely come back! The area was very walkable and conveniently close to many main areas in downtown Chicago. The breakfast omelette in the restaurant was fantastic (although expensive) but overall we enjoyed this hotel and the vibe.
