Ticked all our boxes
Our hosts were just perfect, not over or under attentive, lots of generous gestures. We felt like we’d been staying with friends. The building is really old but in great condition, really atmospheric, log fire in the cosy lounge. Breakfast lovely, homemade bread and conserves, locally sourced produce. Couldn’t fault it

The property has a fantastic history to it and is very interesting and quirky. We loved the size and décor of the rooms and the use of a full size bathroom with a fantastic roll-top bath. Penny & Andy cannot do enough for you - they are incredibly friendly, chatty and helpful. The attention to details is amazing. They use the best produce and cook it to perfection. We left feeling that we had been staying with long-term friends and can't wait to stay again. Thank you Penny & Andy!

A wonderful tranquil stay in a beautiful old Rectory. Penny and Andrew were fantastic hosts and their breakfast was utterly delicious. Homemade bread and jams with homegrown tomatoes. All spotlessly clean with a super comfy bed and pillows.

This was a first rate experience. Penny and Andy couldn’t do enough for us, they were attentive but not intrusive. The bed, pillows, linen and towels were all of the highest quality and allowed the most wonderful nights sleep. Then when it came to breakfast the next morning, well what an outstanding way to start the day as the breakfast used good quality produce and well cooked and presented. In all aspects this was a B&B that stood out, immaculately clean, great bed, pillows, linen and finally and outstanding breakfast. I would highly recommend The Old Rectory

Penny and Andy were very welcoming and accommodating, especially as we arrived quite late. The bedroom and bathroom were beautiful, with lovely old wood beams. The breakfast spread was absolutely delicious and we were made to feel right at home. Thank you Penny and Andy!
