Every room of this island cottage has been updated and furnished with fresh fixtures, furniture and decor in a relaxed, comfy coastal style.

Clean and well appointed, from the granite counter tops and stainless appliances in the kitchen to the new queen and twin sets in the charming bedrooms. Every detail of this island home was carefully considered to ensure your visit is relaxing and comfortable.

The wide and inviting front porch is the first thing you will notice as we welcome you to our island haven. Beyond the front door, you will find an open living room and kitchen designed for easy entertaining with plenty of seating and views through to the spacious screened porch. Eat in the kitchen or gather around the dining area on the screened porch.

Nestled in the back are two bedrooms; one with a queen and another with two twin beds. Both bedrooms feature smart flat screen TV's. All quality linens and hotel style towels are provided.

The tiled bathroom includes a roomy waterfall shower, as well as, a full sized washer and dryer.

In addition, this “Tesla friendly” coastal retreat has a conveniently located 240v EV recharge station, central air, wireless internet and smart TV's in the living room and both bedrooms.

Tucked away in the closest neighborhood to the Assateague National Seashore, this quiet street is only a few minutes to the beach, bike rentals, restaurants and shopping. Rental includes access to the community boat launch.

Beautiful Cottage in Great Location!
My family and I really enjoyed staying here. It was beautiful and clean. The hosts were also great communicators. I have used VRBO to rent many times at different price points. This place is in my top three. I would definitely return for a longer stay. Thank you!

Beautiful house, close to everything
We loved this house in Chincoteague! The rooms were perfect for our family of 4 and the screened porch was a great place to hang out bug-free at night. The quiet streets were safe for the kids to bike on and the large yard and yard games (corn hole, ladder golf) were fun for everyone. Would love to come back!

Cute cottage, great spaces and a wonderful kitchen. Great spot with amazing little details and calming color scheme - relax and read a book or watch a show, sit on the front swing and listen to the birds. Lots of option - plan to come back soon.

The “Starfish House” sparkles!

We had an amazing week in Chincoteague staying at The Starfish! The house was the perfect size for the four of us. Everything was clean and the host provided a few extras - Bluetooth speaker, boogie boards, and lots of board games. Will definitely stay at the Starfish when we return to Chincoteague!

A wonderful place in an ideal location—even better than advertised. This delightful cottage has been thoroughly modernized and tastefully decorated. The porches are broad and cool even in the heat of the day, and the kitchen beautifully designed and equipped. Whether you’re pony-watching, beach-going, wilderness hiking or just getting away from it all, this is the perfect place to stay. Fabulous Getaway!!!
This was a wonderful getaway retreat. You CANNOT TOP this little cottage. Everything is provided that you need: super clean, well decorated, and appointed and close to great restaurants and the quaint downtown area. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The communication with Jennifer (owner) could not have been better from the trip planning stage through the conclusion of our stay. She was immensely friendly and helpful. Stay at Starfish - you will not regret it.

Great Beach Getaway
The house was very clean and nicely decorated-it had everything we needed. The owners even gave me a nice Birthday surprise-so thoughtful! Close to everything, quiet and safe neighborhood. Did not want to leave. We will stay here again!

Renovated, beautifully decorated, comfortable, conveniently located, and most importantly…CLEAN!!!
My adult daughter and I booked the Starfish House for a weekend of biking and getting together w other family members who stayed in close proximity to the house. We were thrilled to enter a beautifully decorated, clean, renovated cottage with a beautiful sitting porch (some of it screened) to shield us from the mosquitoes that are so popular on Chincoteague Island! We enjoyed the welcome basket and bottle of wine-and that all supplies necessary were readily available ( t.p., paper towels, dish soap, laundry detergent, etc…) Access into the house was easy, and the ev charger and washer and driver also made life easier for the weekend. The only problem we encountered was that the oven was extremely difficult to use-wish there were directions… but luckily, our short stay didn’t require cooking. Had we needed to cook, the kitchen so beautifully renovated, would have not been so convenient to use without contracting the owner for instructions. Perhaps leaving directions in the welcome basket would have been a good idea. The inability to simply boil water for a cup of tea turned out to be quite frustrating. All in all, we had a lovely weekend and appreciated the comfortable beds, and extremely clean house. We would return to this house again for sure! Vanessa from NJ

A gem of a cottage!
This cottage was very thoughtfully and tastefully remodeled and decorated, and was equally pleasing to the adults and the kids in our family. Location cannot be beat if you are looking to explore Assateague/Chincoteague. Hosts were very responsive and incredibly understanding. A clear winner.

Perfect bungalow near refuge
It was the perfect size house for just the two of us. It was newly renovated and very clean. The kitchen was really great with new higher end appliances. The neighborhood was quiet with easy access to the wildlife refuge and a bike rental company. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

Another visit to paradise
Wow! The Starfish was amazing the second time around. My son, nephew and sister and I had the best week. There were sad faces when it was time to leave, but we're excited to plan our next visit. The Starfish was clean, cozy and had all of the amenities we needed. It was a hot one during in our stay, but the house was cool. The porch was wonderful to enjoy for breakfast and during some of the afternoon rain storms. The kids loved playing with their Hot Wheels and Bubbles on the awesome wrap around deck / porch. The area offers so many unique and wonderful adventures. We spent time at the beach, Tom's Cove, the Daisey Island Cruise, the Blueberry Festival, Island Creamery, shopping and so much more. Thanks to Jen and Brad for removing any stress about accommodations. We truly look forward to the next visit. Cheers! Melanie
