I liked the location overlooking the salt marsh, the colors of the Inn that blend into the trees instead of offering a stark contrast as do the newer condos and apartments. The house staff are very friendly and front desk very welcoming. I also liked looking out at the pony corral in the morning, the 2 cats that seem to travel across the paddocks, and the well maintained facilities.

The Refuge had a vibe that harkens you back to older times, yet it was very much updated. What a special and unique place so very well done. Personable, yet private and very comfortable. We enjoyed our time and would recommend you give it a try.
