Chiton Cottage - Mid Century Getaway - 2 Bedroom - Pets

Across the road from the Chiton Rocks' foreshore our pet friendly, Chiton Cottage has been beautifully designed for guests to relax in comfort. The Cottage showcases original art and furniture that has been collected - mainly from the local region - over many years. You will love the spacious and serene living area where you can get lost in one of our cottage's many books, magazines, records and games.

The cottage has been built with a nod to the mid-century, with a sparkling kitchen containing all the mod-cons you would expect in a fully equipped home. The two bedrooms each have a queen-size bed with premium linen and a wall mounted smart TV for added luxury.

The large fully fenced block is dog and kid-friendly, ideal for playing with cricket and other games' available at the property. The sundeck/BBQ area looks out over mature Norfolk Island pine trees to the northern hills.

Walk out the side gate and in 50 meters you are at the stunning Chiton Rocks foreshore, walking along the beach.

You are welcome to borrow our 2 bicycles to explore the world-class bicycle paths that run along the foreshore through the historic towns of Port Eliot, Middleton and Goolwa. A kayak, boogie board and sand play equipment are also available for guests to use.

For guests wishing to eat out we recommend the Chiton Rocks' Surf Life Saving Club, located a few minutes' walk away, or explore the countless restaurants and wineries in this part of the Fleurieu peninsula.

We live 10 minutes away and are available to help if you need anything.

Nestled is with the iconic townships of Victor Harbor and Port Elliot, Chiton Cottage is perfectly located for a restful time away. Whether you are there to swim at the beach, whale watch or enjoy the cafes and local wineries - Chiton Cottage is central to it all.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a quiet building, perfect to relax and enjoy, so please no loud noise & no parties. Quiet Hours are between: 11PM and 8AM. We are in constant contact with the surrounding neighbours who will let us know if there is any disturbances.

NO SMOKING: Strictly NO smoking inside, on the balcony or in any outside areas.

PENALTIES: If any damage is caused, smoking takes place or there is evidence of a party there may a financial penalty plus we will request the repair costs plus the extra cleaning costs. If a guest coming in needs to be moved to another property due to the damage or smell of smoke still being present, we will also request the cost of that nights stay. Please respect these rules.

A beautiful place to stay
The house is so comfortable and lovely to look at, including beautiful artwork throughout. The beds are very comfortable with smart tvs in each room. The kitchen was so well eqipped for home cooked dinners on occassion. We also had a lovely bbq on the deck on one night. The house is a short walk to the beach and we walked over the road to watch the cockle train go by. The backyard is huge and a great place for the kids to play. The property is really well located, and a short drive to shops. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful stay we had! This house is well appointed and we can not fault the property or our experience! The ambience of the house was delightful. It was welcoming, comfortable, relaxing and the hosts have done a wonderful job with the decor. Mid Century with a twist of modern-Loved it! The kitchen was great-the property grounds were spacious and the beds were the best we have slept in on any vacation so far. Above all the Cleanliness of this property is more than excellent! Super Clean! The beach is very very close with easy access! We thank the Hosts for sharing their little piece of paradise and it is a credit to them offering accomadation of high standard. We also were taken back with the thoughtfullness of the Hosts for their special surprise that welcomed us with regard to losing our Son recently-Thank you🌻💜 PS: The Doggies had the Best time too🐕🐕 Helen & Mark (Milly & Mellow)

True Retro relaxation!
This home exuded relaxation,comfort and coastal calm.Lightfilled,the spacious living area was fully equipped with plenty of board games,books,magazines and music,all with a lovely mid century vibe in the sofas and other furnishings. The kitchen was generously equipped, including the fridge, (but a mysterious lack of teaspoons!) and the bedrooms were very comfy and clean.A great place to stay,winter or summer!

We enjoyed our week at the cottage. It’s a peaceful spot with a large garden - perfect for the dogs accompanying the trip. Close to the beach and a 30-40min walk into Victor Harbour. Property was clean and had lovely linen and kitchen supplies.
