Staff friendly rest of hotel a let down room shabby choose this hotel as it had a bar but bar not open bed leg broken urine on toilet seat which i cleaned no hair dryer very noisey from other guests doors banging all night would never stay again

Upon arrival checkin was excellent, stress free & welcoming. Shown to room with everything shown and or explained simplistically. The room was clean, the bathroom bedding immaculate, bed v comfortable. Good storage, good coffee tea water biscuits to greet you and last. I can say I was impressed by this. Bathroom,toilet shower, towels including wash products great. Very friendly establishment, polite friendly, curious staff. I witnessed staff keeping on top of things, eg glass windows etc. that didn't put me off, but reinforced the establishments ethic. Breakfast - limited to degree, limited (maybe that due to staff catching up in interim) however the service, if asked no problem friendly courteous. Service. Food on whole ok. Youghut great as was coffee etc

No helpful staff. Sink in the room was blocked, broken tile & unfinished repairs. The room was below the average. The lady in the breakfast area seems not willing to work or either unhappy with her work while serving always makes terrible faces. I don’t recommend this to anyone.

We came to stay cos of a family emergency and booked late in the afternoon arriving late that night at about 22:45. Staff were very friendly, welcoming and accommodating, the receptionist booking us in was very kind and polite and walked us to our room ensure we could use the door codes and knew where we where going, the staff regularly checked in on us to insure there where no issues with our stay, breakfast was included and staff where very attentive making sure we had all we needed. Teas and coffees where brought quickly, The staff made the difficult stay the was needed much easier we no added stress

Rooms clean, but thin walls allows sounds from other rooms and downstairs to migrate into your room, attractive garden area, breakfast room turns into Indian restaurant at night then back to breakfast room in morning, electronic numerical keypad bedroom door locks a nice addition, Breakfast not bad. Overall value budget hotel..

Really nice Asian owners to deal with, who give excellent customer service and nothing is too much trouble to please a guest Breakfast was excellent and catered to my diabetic diet as I now have to eat a pescatarian diet . Massive room and shower and modern smart television in the room which unfortunately would not work with freeview play or bbc iPlayer. Lots of complementary things in the room and enjoyed a comfortable stay for a hospital appointment at James Cook hospital nearby . Only downsides to my stay is an electronic lock that you need a code that would defeat Alan Turing the inventor of the modern computer and a cleaning person disturbing my stay at 08-15 am in the morning after my 06-30 am breakfast A simple do not disturb sign hung on the door would have avoided embarrassment to myself and the cleaning person who did not even knock on the room door to check if a guest was still in the room ! In short a clean nice place to stay that has excellent transport connections to the North Riding of Yorkshire and Northumbria at an excellent price

This place is more like a hostel or sheltered accommodation and not a hotel. Nice and helpful staff. I feel that people were cooking in the rooms as you could smell strong smell of food coming down the hall.

Budget but ok.
It was ok for a quick nap before night shift. Couldn’t face a van nap and no shower so well worth the convenience. I’ve stayed in better hotels for a similar price. But Middlesbrough is very limited. Room very basic shower took ages to get hot, but for a budget place I wouldn’t say it’s the worst I’ve used. The photos on the profile are clearly the better rooms or dressed for the photoshoot. Staff very friendly which is a bonus.
