We enjoyed a fun family vacation at Blueviews. It was a nostalgia trip because my wife grew up on St. Croix, and it's been several years since we have been there as a family. Randy was a proactive host and enthusiastically offered us tips on how to make the most of our vacation on the island. The house offers luxury accommodations and amazing views. It's also in a great location for hiking and walking in the hills to the east of the property, and it is close to several east end beaches, like Jack's and Isaac's Bay. We loved hanging out on the property and enjoyed the infinity pool. The kitchen is well stocked, and we appreciated the "leave if it's unopened" food policy, since grocery stores aren't super close. The guest book filled with tips on restaurants and activities is another plus. This 4.75 star property would be a 5, but the lack of shades and screens is a drawback. We were there in late December, which is arguably one of the coolest and least buggy times of the year. When in the islands, we like to sleep with the windows open to enjoy the ocean breezes, but were unable to do this there is no screened window to open in the entire home (to keep bugs and creatures out), and the blazing 6 am sunrise quickly warms up the bedrooms in the morning making the air conditioners a requirement. The very functional air conditioners and eye masks are a decent workaround, but I do think it would be worth the investment to put in roller shades and screens on the casement windows.

The property was beautiful! It had all the amenities we needed to enjoy our stay. Our trip was for Christmas with my family, my husband and I, our 14 year old son and his friend, our 18 month old daughter and my 70 something in laws. The house worked great for all of us! It truly was paradise and we loved the property and its location. No A/C other than in the living room and with an 18 month old, it was too scary to leave the doors open with the pool right there. Our keycode for the lock box didn’t work but luckily Randy saw us and communicated with us through the security camera and was able to get us successfully into the lockbox for the key. One thing that might be helpful to add, would be hooks in the restrooms to hang towels and wet items. Overall it was a perfect stay and we would book this property again! Thanks for a memorable trip!

Wonderful Stay!!
We truly enjoyed our stay at Blueviews. We came to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and brought friends along with us for the first half of the stay. There were 4 adults total and this home is the perfect layout for a couples trip. This was our friends first visit to St, Croix, but our 4th. We usually stay at a house on the east end in Cotton Valley but the house was sold and is no longer being offered as a rental and that is when we found Blueviews. The views and the layout of the home are wonderful. The home is well equipped with everything you could possibly need during your stay. We love the location on the east end, very peaceful and quiet which is what we prefer on a vacation. The owner Randy and property manager David were easy to communicate and work with and very responsive. There are only 3 things worth mentioning that our group felt could make the home perfect, Curtains for the bedrooms…that Caribbean sun at 6am is brutal even with the provided eye masks. Curtains or shades as an option in the bedrooms would be amazing. Also, screens for the doors and windows the mosquitos were horrible making it very difficult to enjoy the doors open as once they got inside it was almost impossible to get them out and waking up with 20 bites is no fun. And finally shade…there is no shade options outside on the patio, making it very difficult to enjoy the pool and patio during the day because the Caribbean sun is hot! Overall we had an amazing stay and would highly recommend!

This was our first chance to spend a full week's vacation with our two adult children and their spouses. The three bedrooms and baths were perfect for our needs and gave each couple some privacy. The kitchen was well-stocked with every kind of pan, knife, tray, and appliance we needed to prepare our meals. The open floor plan extending out to the deck allowed us to spend time together, even while cooking, watching TV, or lounging around the pool We especially enjoyed the wonderful view overlooking the blue sea. While the property is remote from the common tourist sites, that was the privacy we wanted to relax and unwind. You will want to rent a vehicle and take care when driving on some of the unpaved roads. Everything we wanted to do (snorkeling, dining, sightseeing, etc.) was within a 20-30 minute drive.

This property is beautifully updated and maintained. 6 of us spent the week there and loved the location and the house. The property manager Stephanie was very helpful and easy to communicate with. The house is well equipped with everything you would need. You need a car as the location is at the east end of the island but you will enjoy the peace and quiet down that side of the island. The pool is solar heated and you can just float and enjoy those blue views.

Spectacular View - Beautiful Modern Home
This home was way more beautiful than the photos. It was clean and everything we needed was here including pool toys. Stephanie made sure we got to the property without any hassle and was there to greet us when we arrived. She went above and beyond. Even accommodating us when our flight was cancelled. They left us a bottle of rum and Aaliyah and Sheryl wrote us a note giving us great recommendations for sight seeing and restaurants. It was a nice and quiet neighborhood. It was open and airy and really fit our family of 5. After reading the reviews from other guests, I couldn’t disagree more. The location, the home and everything was more than we expected. When we come back to this beautiful island, we would love to stay here again!

Missed the mark, beautiful property but numerous problems, not as described
Positives: house is modern, clean and has breathtaking ocean views just like in the photos. Beds were comfortable. Good Wi-Fi service and smart TVs. Negatives: there were numerous problems with the house including: 1. an annoying refrigerator alarm that went off multiple times per day, including in the middle of the night requiring us to push a button before it would go off. We were informed there was nothing they could do about it due to it needing a new filter which was ordered but not yet delivered. 2. Freezer not working. Repairman was sent to fix it on the 2nd day but couldn’t because he had to order a part so no freezer or ice the entire stay. 3. The house is described as air conditioned but only the bedrooms are, not the main living are and kitchen which get uncomfortably hot even when the floor to ceiling sliding glass doors are open which lets mosquitoes in. 4. Location left much to be desired. The listing says you can use the beach and facilities at the Divi Resort which was a factor in us choosing this property. This is very misleading and should be removed from the descrioption as this resort has been CLOSED for renovations for over a year apparently, something the house manager only shared with us after we complained that their beach was nonexistent/not useable. Also you are SO FAR from everything there is to do on the island. no trash service, you have to load your trash up in the car every day or two and haul it off to the local dump. 5. horrible customer service. Despite being described as being well equipped there were many missing basic kitchen Utensils such as a can opener, vegetable peeler, Tupperware/storage containers etc. although the first time we requested needed items they were delivered to us the following day, later in the week we discovered we needed some other items and although the house manager Stephanie said she would deliver them promptly, she never did (we left 4 days later and never heard from her again until check out day when she reminded us to follow their check out procedures). A token attempt was made to make good by giving us a $75 Gift certificate to a local restaraunt but there were 5 of us and that didn’t cover lunch for 5, only 3. This hardly made up for the numerous inconveniences in our opinion when we paid thousands for a property that was described as “unparalleled luxury”. We have rented properties all over the world including many Caribbean islands and never had such poor servic

Nice view, long way to everything
The pictures online were fabulous and pretty accurate. Modern clean looking place. Glad air conditioning was added to bedrooms. Huge sliding doors were nice to cool off main living/kitchen area but still hot at night. The property needs some kind of drapes to pull in the bedrooms because it is east facing and the sun comes up super early. Mostly it was a 30+ minute drive to everything we wanted to do on the island. Stay was good but if we had to do it again we’d research location more and likely stay elsewhere. Also road leading to driveway was super sketchy gravel - should rent a Jeep or 4x4. No cell coverage but Wi-Fi worked.

An Unbelievable House!
