This is a unique, lovely hotel in a great location. The artwork on display is contemporary and inventive. The room itself (King Deluxe) is very comfortable. The one and only flaw is the showerhead. While the bathroom is as luxurious as you'll find, the showerhead itself was dirty. It looked as if there was some oxidation or residue on the head and it needs to be cleaned. That said, the staff are wonderful, the attached restaurant delicious, and I would definitely stay here again.

The room was very nice, clean. However the bedding is too warm. Also during the night, all night, when quiet & trying to sleep you can hear an electrical hum 15 second on then 5 seconds off. I am a light sleeper & this drove me crazy.

Terrible—plain and simple!

Quite simply: one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever experienced—and I travel for a living! Shower was insane… pressure was unbearable. Couldn’t even stand near the water because it was more like a pressure washer that I’d sandblast my sidewalks with. Called for maintenance and the guy says, “Oh, everyone complains, I can put a reducer on it for you!” Great. How about we put reducers on in the first place? Then the mounted/non-removable body wash in the shower was EMPTY! Call, 20 mins later, I get a bottle of body wash. Great. Start looking for a fridge… no fridge! Call downstairs, “We will bring you one up!” Great. The next day, shower pressure is manageable. Guess what! NO CONDITIONER. It was seriously like Candid Camera. Everything that could be wrong with this hotel is wrong. Terrible hairdryer, 6/10 in terms of cleanliness, several things in disrepair, stained carpets. Best part is there’s a doc on loop on the TV showing how fastidious the owner is. lol He hasn’t been to the Cincy property in a hot minute, CLEARLY! Awful stay.

Not my favorite 21c

Maybe we were spoiled by the St. Louis 21c. This property is fine, but there’s no Wow factor. The rooms are like any other standard hotel, and could use some updating. The staff was wonderful, and the museum was of course fantastic.

The accommodation were excellent. The only major issue I had is that I was charged by Hotels.com and also by 21C hotel.

Needs a refresh

This hotel needs a refresh. There is a distinct stale smell throughout the lobby and hallways, the walls are damaged/scuffed, the corners of the bathtub are moldy, the empty mini fridge was dirty. The hotel is very basic with few amenities- a small closet, no slippers, very thin bedding. The hotel ran out of clean towels at one point. The art was very interesting but I would not recommend.
