You and your loved ones can leave all your worries behind thanks to this peaceful cabin in Washington's stunning North Central Cascades! A true sense of remoteness, along with plenty of natural beauty to enjoy, lets you unplug and relax.
This home for seven is five miles from the nearest town, South Cle Elum. It's easy enough to stop by for a meal at Smokey's Bar-B-Que (though four-wheel drive and snow chains may be required during the wintertime), but with nothing other than pine trees and distant mountains surrounding the home, you'll feel serene and secluded.
Shake off the snow from a long day on the slopes and head inside. Wood walls and ceiling beams, along with the crackle of the fireplace and touches like an authentic bear skin on the wall, create a rustic atmosphere that's truly unique to authentic mountain cabins. There's no internet to distract you with stressful work emails, so take a seat with your family and friends on the living room's leather couches and take in some DVDs and VHS tapes on the flatscreen TV.
Contrasting with the overall rustic theme of the home is the kitchen, where stainless steel appliances and a gas range are decidedly modern. The breakfast bar for three is a great place to snack on some appetizers, before heading to the bench-style table near the door for the main course. You can enjoy your food near more cabin memorabilia like a pair of crossed skis and a wood-carved coat rack, or head outside and dine under starlight by the outdoor fire. Wherever you eat, the dishwasher makes cleaning up quick and easy.
Three bedrooms allow seven guests to stay in this home, with a maximum of six adults. Head upstairs to find the master bedroom, featuring a king-size bed and another bedroom with a queen bed. The final bedroom has a twin-over-double bunk bed, perfect for kids. Each of the home's two bathrooms let everyone get nice and refreshed in the mornings, whether it's for playing a game of pool or heading out to explore!
South Cle Elum - and, just across the river, Cle Elum proper - is a fine place to pass the time, with small shops and restaurants waiting for you to visit. As peaceful as relaxing by the Yakima River can be, don't get so lost in the gentle flow that you neglect the surrounding natural beauty. Skiing, snowmobiling, snowboarding, and more await at Snoqualmie Pass 29 miles to the north, with hiking trails available in the summertime.
Save your dates today and take the first step towards an unforgettable vacation at this Cle Elum cabin!
