5 Arrows Cabin, quiet and quaint, backs up to the Nat'l forest!

If you are looking for a quiet getaway to experience nature at its best this cozy two bedroom, 1 1/2 bath is perfect for your get away to the mountains. A short 10 minute drive to Cloudcroft will let you experience downtown shopping and some amazing bar-b-que or burgers!
On the main floor is a large family room with a comfy sectional and plenty of extra seating, fireplace, dining area, cute, well stocked kitchen and a large master bedroom with a rustic, hand crafted, king size log bed. Upstairs is a loft with a full size bed which kids will love. Downstairs are three extra full size beds, and a half bath. An exterior door allows for easy access. Beautiful new deck with patio furniture and grill is perfect for experiencing the outdoors while you dine. The national forest is right outside the front door and allows instant hours of hiking. Wildlife abounds in this area and is often seen right out the kitchen or bedroom windows. Our cabin includes wireless wifi, two roku tvs, lots of board games, puzzles and books. Please note .. as with most cabins in these areas, there are steep stairs to the loft and also to the downstairs bunk room, which is where the extra beds are. Just fyi- in case youre unable to handle stairs. Also FYI..We have outdoor security cameras for our use to keep an eye on our property.

Great stay with great views of the stars!
The check in process was very smooth and we didn’t have any issues. The house was clean when we got there. There was literally anything you would/could need in the kitchen. I was impressed😁 Overall it was a great stay and we definitely be using y’all in the future.

Wonderful Mountain Getaway
We just loved our stay and our 11 and 12 year old kids got a huge kick about sleeping in the ‘basement’. It’s a very clean and peaceful property and the hosts were wonderful to work with.

Perfect family cabin!
The Five Arrows cabin was perfect for our family and would have easily worked for a larger group. The kids loved the bunkhouse rooms in the down stairs as well as the loft. It was close to Cloudcroft and an easy drive down to White Sands NP as well. We had everything available as described in the listing and would love to have a chance to visit again in the future!

Fantastic Mountain House and National Forest
This house is delightful for those who like to wander in the forest and have plenty of breathing room. Backing up to the National Forest, we would just set off up the hill and hike. We saw hundreds of deer and elk, enjoyed the daily snow showers, and were very cozy in the house. With plenty of couches for everyone to comfortably hang out, we enjoyed exploring and chilling equally.

Quiet with Wildlife at the Door
Clean and quiet. We saw deer and elk everyday, right at the door. Important to note if it begins to snow, the stores in town close due to weather conditions, so important to be prepared with food or necessities. Would have been nice if there were some snow sleds or other winter equipment for use onsite at the cabin. We had a great time!

This place is absolutely adorable! Very roomy and inviting. Know issues to note other than parking. We had 2 long trailers with sxs. My mistake, i should have thought about parking ahead of time. Clay let us know where to park and informed us he was still working on the parking. Great people for sure!

Cabin has steep stairs and difficult to navigate for our age group (60s-70s). Wood stove was hard to light, think flue needs cleaning and the flooring has soft spots both in and out. Rustic cabin for sure! Parking for 4 vehicles was challenging.

Away in the Mountains
Cabin was just as advertised, clean in the heart of the mountains and away from the busy streets. Has everything you need, kitchen utensils, bath towels, large deck, outdoor gril and deck sitting furniture to enjoy the wildlife and clean mountain air. Enjoyed seeing all the hummingbirds come by to eat at the feeders and overall was a comfortable stay. The approach may be difficult in the snow if you don’t have a 4x4 or chains but it’s not impossible.

Amazing Cabin
Cabin was perfect. Had everything we needed. Quiet area with beautiful views. Sitting on the deck watching the Bull Elk and deer was so fun. We would definitely stay there again. I highly recommend.

Comfortable cabin lots of wildlife
We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was comfortable, clean , with a well stocked kitchen . The property was just described in the online listing. We were excited to see deer, elk, turkey as well as lots of hummingbirds visiting the feeders around the cabin. We even picked up some bird seed and apples to leave for the birds and deer. This place did not disappoint and I would highly recommend it for those that like to watch the wildlife and want to be close to town but not stay in town.

Best place to stay in Cloudcroft
This is the best place to stay in Cloudcroft. Very clean and comfortable. The view is beautiful. Its peacful and quiet. We saw elk,deer,turkey and numerous beautiful birds. The host Clay and Barbie are so nice. As for a previous review that complained about getting rid of their own trash I can assure you that won't be a problem. There are plenty of places im Cloudcroft to throw your trash. We found a bear proof trash can at the trestle that was very convenient. This cabin is absolutely perfect! Can't wait to stay again!

Great property for a group
The property itself was great, met all our needs. We had a couple issues however... the AC is not accessible by the tenants. The owners control it from their phones. If I am renting a property, I should be able to control the temp, not ask for the AC to be turned down via email, that was super frustrating for a group of adults. I understand that not all people are respectful of the equipment, so I would suggest a damage statement or such. There is no hot water in the downstairs restroom and the curtain does not cover a fraction of the window. It does back up to the forest, but is still a neighborhood with other homes. We were required to haul our trash into town, 10 minutes away... this was gross. I get that Cloudcroft does not have trash service on unpaved roads. I would suggest a large trash can on wheels and having the housekeepers take it into town after each stay, rather than the guest putting the trash bags in their unprepared cars, or list this requirement in the description. This and the AC were big turn offs for our grouo, which is a bummer bc I we really like the property.
