Paradise Regained

Enjoy a little slice of lakefront paradise in this three-bedroom Coeur d'Alene vacation rental with room for six on the tree-shrouded shores of Lake Coeur d'Alene. Dock the boat at the private dock and swim at the private beach, enjoy panoramic vistas of the lake from the new wrap-around deck and rails, and savor the peace and tranquility. Flanked by a pretty orchard on one side and magnificent Coeur d'Alene Lake on the other, you'll be treated to views both pastoral and panoramic. At the end of the day, unwind in the beautifully decorated living area on the main level, where you'll find a wood fireplace with a stone facade and plenty of comfortable chairs, along with beautiful lake views to enjoy through the floor-to-ceiling windows. There's more fun down on the lower level, where you can kick back in a laid-back den, complete with a large flatscreen TV with DirecTV, a DVD, VCR, and stereo. On those cold nights, huddle by the warm glow of the wood fireplace (the impressive stone facade extends through both floors!) and check your emails or local events on the free WiFi. Had Milton spent some time at this unique three-bedroom home with room for six on beautiful Coeur d'Alene Lake, the course of English literature might, perhaps, have been a little different. Come spend some time at this incredible home on the shores of Lake Coeur d'Alene, and you'll wonder if paradise was ever lost in the first place!

What’s nearby:
There are several things to do in colorful Coeur d'Alene, on both land and lake! Kids and adults can have hours of fun just swimming off the private dock right by the home. Out on the lake, you can water and jet-ski, or cast a line for the resident fish. Take the kids over to one of three water theme parks nearby. Lace-up the hiking boots and find your bliss in one of three national forests in the area. Tee up for a game of golf at nearby Coeur d'Alene Public Golf Club, or at one of seven other courses. Spend the day in Coeur d'Alene where you'll have plenty of shops and cafes to choose from. Pamper yourself at one of the town's spas, or put your palate to the test at the local winery.

Awesome place
Property was gorgeous. No complaints at all. The owner Roger was very nice and interesting to talk to. A lovely family of deer live around the area and we enjoyed watching them everyday along with the spontaneous visits from turkeys. Plan to rent again in the future.

Overpriced wonderful location
This house needs a one million dollar cash infusion. The house is old, and strangely decorated. There is no door to the master bedroom which is directly off of the living room, so don’t expect privacy. The location is great. We found dirty diapers in the fire pit on the beach.

Overall it was a great place. Parking was cramped and the road in and out was overgrown with trees and brush. Other than that, I would highly recommend

You Won't Want to Leave!
The setting for this home is perfect. Centrally located on the shores of the channel between the main lake and the open waters that will take you into Harrison as well as the CDA River. The views from the wrap around balcony are spectacular. Having access to your own boat dock as well as the private beach for swimming during the day and a cozy fire at night make this a top-notch property. Everything we needed to cook multiple meals every day – plan your stay - you don't want to have drive into town as you are about 30 minutes from CDA not to mention traffic once you get there. Think of the path down to the water as your daily exercise - it is a bit tough on the way up. It was just the two of use so didn't mind the open master bedroom but even if there were others do not see it being an issue (there are baby gates in the closet should you want to create some boundaries). Settle in with plenty of books, movies, games, satellite TV and wi-fi (that worked nonstop our entire stay!). Our stay was a mix of weather - the heat and AC worked great. There were plenty of linens, blankets and we even found beach towels. Be sure to bring firewood as you won't find any just laying around. Lots of wildlife - birds, chipmunks, deer - but our favorite were the groundhogs. The road into the area is narrow and unpaved as you get closer to the property (make sure you have a plan if bringing/renting a boat as outlined in the property notes). The property company was very responsive.

A place with character and a beautiful view
Great place with a beautiful view of Coeur d'Alene lake. This is an older cabin with all the character of a cabin built in the 70's. The kitchen had been updated. The pictures on the Vrbo site were pretty accurate. It is worth noting that the upstairs bedroom (master) does not have a door so the great room and bedroom connect via a short hall. It is a bit off the beaten path to get to but worth the trek. We loved looking out the kitchen window watching the deer eat in the orchard.

Beautiful
This property is beautiful and the house is amazing. The view from the balcony is wonderful. We loved having our own beach - we brought our own kayaks, paddle boards, etc. I will say, tho, that the trek down to the beach and back up is a bit much (especially for us older ones), but we knew ahead of time about it. And the drive to town can be a little tiring. But all in all we had a WONDERFUL time and this house is really amazing!!!

Perfect Family Getaway
The property was even better than we expected. The location is a bit far from CDA, but we did not mind the drive one bit. Enjoying our morning coffee on the top deck each morning was wonderful. We cooked for most of our meals and the kitchen had everything we needed. We had a great time walking down to the dock and beach area ... skipping rocks, dangling our feet in the chilly water and enjoying the serenity. We would come back and stay at this lovely home in a heartbeat!

Property is great for a family, or adults. The 3 bedrooms are comfortable and spacious.
Property is as advertised and pictures are accurate. The 2 living rooms give your group room to spread out ( good kid separation). Kitchen is well equipped and there is a great smoker bar-b-que. bring the steaks! The deck is amazing with views of the lake. The path to the private beach and dock is manageable with lite foot wear.

Great Lakehouse for Family Vacation
Our family was looking for a quiet isolated lake house for a summer vacation. This place worked great! The private beach and dock were fantastic. There are multiple (up to 6) dogs at the surrounding houses that came visiting on multiple occasions, so be aware if you have cautious kids with you.

Lovely property
We enjoyed our stay at this property. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped. The home was clean and comfortable. The walk down to the beach is a bit of a workout but the beach is beautiful. Our only negative issues were a slow draining bathtub in the downstairs bathroom and a neighbor dog that would come over and bark at us rather aggressively once in a while. It was a great place for a family getaway.

Ladies Road Trip
Great views from all rooms, the kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed the Traeger smoker. The beach area and dock were very nice. As suggested by the owner, we rented a boat through Harrison Boat Rentals. They delivered right to the dock - it couldn't have been more convenient. Lake Coeur d'Alene is beautiful to explore by water! We also spent an afternoon in town - great shops, galleries, and dining options.

Beautiful View
The house has a lovely view with a nice wrap around deck, and many chairs on the upper and lower decks and at the beach. The dock was in good shape. The house and furnishings are outdated, and generally need maintenance, repair and cleaning. Also, two kayaks are pictured in the photos, and they are NOT there and available for use. The grill is a Traegar, which is a smoker/cooker, not a traditional grill. I couldn't get an answer before going if pellets would be available, but the bin did have pellets in it. I don't know if that is usual, or if the pellets were leftover from other visitors. To me, three stars reflects a satisfactory house, hence the two stars.

Beautiful view
Overall, we had a great experience. The place was clean and the view was gorgeous. My kids had fun looking at rocks on the beach. The only draw backs were the upper master bedroom doesn't have a door. It worked okay for us, my toddlers don't knock anyways but be warned. And the second thing was the wifi went down on the second day, and still wasn't fixed when we left. Still 5 stars though because that isn't the owners fault, the property is kinda remote and frontier was working on it.

Cabin on the Lake
Wonderful view with only a short walk to the water and private beach. We stayed in September so all the neighbors were not there - very private. This cabin has lots of apple trees so saw whitetail deer every day right outside our door. It is a drive to the nearest town so if you want a relaxing, quiet vacation, this is an excellent choice. Be prepared there is only 1 TV but plenty of books and games to enjoy.

Little Piece of Heaven!
My friend and I rented this place to take our four teenage girls on a getaway. This place was perfect for our group. The private dock was a big hit with our girls, and they loved jumping off the dock and floating in the calm water. We enjoyed the well-stocked kitchen, and the views were to die for. This place is a little far from civilisation, which is why we chose it, but if you want to a run into town for a quart of milk, it is a bit of a drive. Some people commented that the walk to the beach was a bit steep. We were worried before we arrived that it might be dangerous. We were happy to discover that the trail is quite doable. It might be dangerous if you have been drinking on the dock and need to walk up in the dark, but during the day it isn't bad. This home is a cosy cottage on the lake. That was what we wanted for our four teenagers, and we all enjoyed our stay, While the internet was a little spotty, this made the trip even better because our children had to spend time without their phones and play the board games that were graciously provided by the homeowner. This place is perfect for people looking to get a little R & R.
