Not only a lot of road construction, but there was construction at the hotel. Normally would not have bothered me but I had surgery at the QE11 and was recuperating in the room for 48 hours and the noise got me up at 8 am in the morning

It is not the hotel's fault that there is horrific construction going on. But they could provide clear instructions on parking and how to access the sky walk to get around the construction. The signage is awful and it is hard to figure out where to park.

Paid for a harbour view room and got a view of a construction site instead. Room renovation directly across the hall had us awake at 8am each morning. We were greeted with short black hairs in our bathtub. Lastly the breakfast buffet is $21 per person which is outrageous. Staff were very nice tho.

The price of the hotel was different from what was listed on the website. Hidden fees were applied only at the end of our stay, and the $150 refund was not refunded that day. Instead, we are still waiting for it to be refunded. The disingenuous pricing and the inability to return my deposit on the spot made my visit more stressful than pleasurable.

The location is great. Walkable to any attraction in Downtown Halifax. Lots of parking available. Staff at the front desk and in Harbour City restaurant were all very lovely. The elevators keep you guessing - they take a long time to arrive but when they do - you have about 2.8 seconds to get in before the doors try to close again. My bed was everything good; comfy, warm. I stayed on the first floor and the hallway and my room are definitely on the tired side but overall, more than adequate.
