It was sufficient for the price.
First of all, when I got there there was no one at the front desk. The gentleman waiting in the lobby before me said he had been waiting for 20 minutes. After sitting for another 10 minutes the clerk finally showed ip and took care of us. The room was surface clean but very much in need of deep cleaning and repairs. The bathroom especially needed an overhaul which they seemed to be doing in other rooms as the clerk made me aware. There were also little things like paint peeling and loose baseboards in the room. Fortunately, the bed was comfortable and it was quiet; two major requirements for my trip. So all and all, I give them a 6.5!

Total of 5 nights. The room was not cleaned once even upon request. Had to ask; well BEG for towels, toilet paper, and other essentials expected of any stay multiple times. Staff DO NOT follow through on empty promises to correct concerns. The staff from check-in to check-out was not friendly or professional, nor did they have any decorum of customer service. The staff is downright rude and annoyed at times. The HOT breakfast was way overexaggerated... prepackaged grits and oatmeal. Yogurt that customers had to fight over because of the limited amount, of apples that were old and mushy. They did offer make your own waffles but there was no one supervising and guests made a terrible mess which begs to question the cleanliness of the station. The juice and coffee were dispensed and watered down. There were also weekly/monthly renters who obviously had some form of mental health or social issues that frequented the breakfast daily and scared other guests. So I would skip this motel and go elsewhere.

The first encounter was a bit offsetting, with a thick window separating the counter, and not able to understand through the 1" gap. Had I been a walk-in, I probably would have avoided. Truck noise was annoying, with backup beeps offering an unrequested alarm clock. Breakfast was frugal. Fine for a single night while passing through. Good bed and hot shower.

The location of the motel (more Langley than Takoma Park) and the run down condition of both area and motel may put some off. Booked this in a hurry and thought I was staying more west, closer to Silver Spring. The area is quite busy, and has several options for food, like McD and Chipotle, and some ethnic small restaurants. The rooms and beds were quite clean, though very run down. It was fully booked in early October, as was the motel next door. I booked two rooms under my name, and though it asked for the name of the person who would stay in the other room, the reservation was split into two when I arrived, and they told me that I had only booked one room. I had to look elsewhere last minute. Thought it was a fluke, but same thing happened at the next hotel, where the attendant found the second room under the other person's name. I have always had my reservation show up in it's entirety under my name. Must be something new with hotels.com (they kept telling me Expedia). Created unnecessary confusion.

My girlfriend cried when she saw the room and made us get another hotel. It smelled, there was cigarette holes burnt into the bed sheets, and overall it was creepy.
