The property itself is nestled down a farm track, which also makes up part of the Pennine Bridleway, so there are plenty of walks from the very doorstep taking you across the rugged Lancashire moors. Wycoller and Bronte Country is just 6 miles away, where you can follow in the footsteps of Heathcliff and Cathy. The bustling market town of Skipton, known as ‘The gateway to the Dales’ is just 8 miles away where guests can enjoy the local market and a selection of pubs, shops, cafés, and restaurants. The Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, can be reached in under 40 minutes offering an abundance of walking, cycling and fantastic local gastronomy to try including two Michelin Star restaurants. Pendle Hill with its rich history, most notably for the witch trials, is also nearby and has fantastic walking and cycling through the surrounding villages and over the hill itself where you’ll be rewarded with views across the Ribble Valley, Yorkshire Dales, and Lancashire Moors. A 9-holf golf course can be found just a 7-minute drive away. If you fancy going slightly further afield, The Lake District, Fylde Coast and Peak District National Park can all be reached in an hour.
