Pine Ridge, part of the Ridge Vacation Properties group, is a comfortable, upscale 900 sq ft cabin in the pines. Nestled into the woods on a mountaintop at an elevation of 9,200 feet, you're away from it all but close to everything! Professionally decorated and maintained with a mix of new, vintage, and antique furnishings, you'll enjoy relaxing in front of the electric fireplace, watching the 55" smart HD television, keeping in touch with free Wi-Fi/internet, relaxing in the hot tub, or sitting on the large deck watching the birds and deer wander past.
This 2-bedroom, 1-bath property is all on one level and can comfortably sleep six. We use crisp cotton sheets and cotton quilts in the summer with fun comforters for the twin beds and a fluffy duvet on the queen in the cooler months. There is always access to additional blankets and comforters, as well as a variety of bed pillows to suit you. The first bedroom has a queen bed, the second has two twins, and there is a queen sleeper sofa with a memory foam mattress in the living room. The roomy bathroom features a full-size bathtub with a shower, thick Turkish cotton towels, and essential toiletries. In the eat-in kitchen, everything you may need is here, including a full set of T-fal pots and pans, utensils, microwave, bakeware, slow cooker, blender, toaster, and a Cuisinart coffee maker that accepts single-serve Keurig-style coffee pods as well as ground coffee for making a full carafe. The refinished antique dining set seats six and overlooks the shaded wrap-around deck. A gas grill is conveniently located off the kitchen through the large sliding door. A separate laundry room near the bedrooms contains a full-size washer and dryer for your convenience.
A complete remodel was finished in January 2020 which included new paint and carpet throughout, new furniture, and all new furnishings including luxury bedding and mattresses, pillows, towels, linens, dishes, silverware, cookware, and lighting. The renovation also included the addition of many smart-home conveniences, easily controlled by voice using the Amazon Alexa devices located throughout the cabin and on the deck. Play music, ask a question, control the lights and TV āeven adjust the temperature just by speaking. Of course, all of the traditional switches and controls still work, and the smart features can be disabled for those with privacy concerns.
Pine Ridge is located on a quiet gravel road just 2 miles from pavement, and the road is county maintained year-round. The driveway to the cabin is also gravel, and a few guests have described it as being on the steep side. Those guests arriving in 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicles will not have any problems. Even 2-wheel drive vehicles typically manage just fine in the summer, and additional access options are available when the weather is inclement. Feel free to contact us with any questions regarding access to the property. Pine Ridge is part of the Ridge Vacation Properties group.
