It has a unique layout, and the atrium has interesting architecture. It may seem a little dated, but it's been kept up well. The dated ness adds a little charm if you're tired of generic hotels.

We discovered a gunshot in our room upon check in, the manager was not apologetic, and she seemed annoyed at us for being uncomfortable with the situation. It was alarming how the whole situation was normal for the staff. She offered to cancel the reservation and us go somewhere else, on a Friday at 4 pm, in a small town, this was not a viable option for us. We ended up staying in a different room (we requested a different building, but were told ā€œthe owners would not allow this as we had a petā€), which made clear owners only cared about profit and not client satisfaction. Room and facilities were ok, not necessarily clean. Breakfast was ok. At the end, we got our stay refunded, but we would not, even if getting paid, stay here again.

Everything was great, comfortable beds and quiet comfy room. Pretty property inside. Great breakfast buffet with an omelet bar. Disappointed that they only had a bar and grill that opened at 5pm. Plenty of chain restaurants and Wal-Mart within walking distance.
