Our room was on the 6th floor & the elevators went down and we had to use the stairs with my elderly mother. Also, we stood three days & were out of conditioner & shampoo ( not a big deal because it was complimentary) however, toilet paper wasn’t refilled so that was inconvenient until we got more from the front desk. Air conditioner was very noisy in the room. Staff were very nice.

It a regular Hilton Inn. What made it so great were the people that work there. They are unusually friendly and kind. This place just had a happy vibe. Margaret in the restaurant stood out the most.

Not quite up to previous standards. Example: Extending my stay by one night as checkout time drew near, the front desk asked me if I needed anything from housekeeping. Fresh towels and empty one trash can, I replied. That’s all. Front desk said they would pass the message to housekeeping. A half hour later, as I exited the room for the day, I sought out a housekeeper on the floor to mention that all I needed in that room for today was to replace the soiled towels with fresh ones and empty the trashcan, both having been placed by me just inside the room door. I returned laterthat evening: soiled towels and full trashcan greeted me upon entry into the room. This sort of double negligence would never have happened previously in my stays at this Hilton Garden Inn. It is still my preferred hotel in ColumbiaNW; just a cautionary note to management here.

We came for my son’s third birthday getaway. We went to Surge in Cayce. We enjoyed the indoor pool at the hotel, it was warm and very enjoyable. All of the staff we encountered were very helpful, nice, and professional. Will definitely stay here again when in the area!

What i liked-The staff was nice and explained everything to us. It is a quiet, nice hotel. What i didn't like- The linen was not changed out with fresh sheets. There was stained, crusty sheets on our bed. I had to go down and ask for fresh sheets. I called the front desk for service, but didn't get an answer. I went to the desk to find 3 staff members just standing around talking.

When we arrived the room seemed great. We started to go to bed and noticed a cockroach on the ceiling! Went downstairs, and they didn’t seem to surprised, and told us that all of the rooms were sold out, and they could t move us. We killed the cockroach on the ceiling. About an hour later my son went into the bathroom and saw another one under the sink! It was midnight at that point and we didn’t have many options. We got up the next morning and started taking showers and realized that the body wash container inside the shower was empty! When we checked out we told the front desk about everything. She made a note for the manager for the next day to see if they can comp the room for us or not. Very disappointed and disgusted.

The check-in was a disaster. We had worked all day outside in the extreme Columbia, SC heat helping a relative and really needed a room and shower. We arrived around 4:30pm and had to wait until 7:15pm for our room. The lobby was packed with others waiting for a room. Not good!!

Room was nicely furnished and decorated. Seems newly updated. Bathroom towel racks, bars and shower rod are rusty. Saw used empty water bottle on the floor behind the nightstand when I went to turn on the lamp. Room ac unit was very noisy but temperature was comfortable. Refrigerator freezer portion was not usable. Overall it’s fine for the price.
