Hotel was just OK. A bit pricey for the room. Room was an old loft like space. Very loud and definitely not cozy. It had no mirror other than bathroom mirror and shades for windows were difficult to manipulate. The room was basic cleaned but we found an earring on the floor by the bathtub that shouldve been seen during an cleaning. It was right on the floor. The bath tub and bathroom were small and little room for counter space.

Was a little disappointed by a "facility charge" that added 70 dollars to our stay, and it wasn't disclosed at booking. Felt a little deceptive and left a sour note on an otherwise pleasant stay.

The Sonesta Columbus Downtown Columbus, Ohio
The hotel was relatively nice. Not terribly challenging to locate via Google Maps, even at night with loads of construction going on around parts of downtown Columbus. We arrived late at night and was able to secure parking (at a price of nearly $50 daily) through the front entrance Valet staff who were standing by waiting for arrivals. It was only later that I discovered potentially cheaper parking elsewhere, although less convenient. The front desk staffer was pleasant and accommodating, but once we got to the room, this is where the 3-star review is really highlighted. The room layout was interesting, it was large enough to accommodate three relatively comfortably. But the primary issue was lighting. There were only three main lighting sources (not including natural light) to somehow illuminate the entire room. The light at the door only lit the doorway and the small closet by the door, the bathroom light (while the door is open) illuminated the primary sitting area (to a point) and seemed to be the majority of the lighting for the room (odd right!!??), !!??), and the lighting on either side of the primary bed where the only sources of light in the entire room. The bed lighting is unfortunately not enough light (as it probably shouldn’t be for obvious reasons) to illuminate the entire room. So, the heavy lifting here (as it should not be) was from the bathroom light. This was an absolutely bonkers design flaw.

Everything about the property was very nice. My only discrepancy is that they mandatory added on extra monies for condiments I did not necessarily needed or wanted. So there was no real savings Booking through the website.

The room was supposed to have a pull out sofa, and it did not. There were no overhead lights in the room so once the sun went down the only light was the bathroom or the night light. The bed was missing a comforter. The pillows did not smell clean.

Perfect location! Was in town with my two teenaged daughters for the Weezer concert at Nationwide Arena. The location was so convenient and as a woman traveling alone with my daughters, I felt very safe. Valet parking made everything a breeze. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because the staff did not explain how to charge items to the room at the 24 hr marketplace which led to some late night frustration but a fairly minor issue overall. Would definitely stay here again if in the area for a show.

The hotel was nice…ish. They do not validate parking which was probably my biggest issue. The weekend rates are much higher, so if you’re budgeting then you’ve got to prepare for an additional $40 if you want to be reasonably close if you drive to the location. There is also a “resort fee” that they charge when the only resort feature they offer is an in-house restaurant. There is also the “destination fee” - so the price Expedia shows isn’t accurate. Ultimately it seems like a great price compared to the other hotels downtown but with all the extra things we spent more staying here than the nicer hotels in the area. There were also no exhaust fans in the bathroom in our hotel room. Not a big deal unless you take a hot shower or you’re not traveling alone and someone has to relieve themselves. The pillows were nice. Bed was lumpy. The check-in staff was great but the check out person was a bit off-putting. We travel to Columbus often but will not stay again.

A really nice hotel, maybe a little worn
This hotel was great. The location was perfect, walking distance to a lot of key downtown features. We spent much of our trip in the Short North neighborhood, which was a pleasant walk (less than a mile). The hotel felt nice. The room was spacious and the bed was VERY comfortable. Excellent pillows. The towels were a little worn out and you could seen some sign of wear in the room overall. It might be due for a refresh soon. I found a couple of long hairs that didn't belong to us. Also weirdly they had the thinnest, worst toilet paper ever. But overall, the room felt very nice and everything worked perfectly. Excellent hot water pressure, an in-room couch and fridge that actually kept our food cold. We parked in the adjacent public parking garage and paid $26 to park our car for the entirety of our Friday - Sunday stay. No complaints!

Beautiful, walking distance, food was convenient, restaurant in Hotel was amazing. Would definitely recommend and definitely will go back next time in Columbus

Enjoyed my stay. Was in a more quiet part of hotel. Only thing is i am not sure how many times housekeeping came by. I had to set trash outside of door to get ot to go away. Did not know i was going to have to do that. Minor gripe. Overall, would stay again.
