I booked their “king suite” via Expedia, upon arrival, I was given a “king deluxe” room 146. Apparently, the king suite was not available due to maintenance issues. They did not notify Expedia or me of the changes, had I known, I would have cancelled. There was nothing “deluxe” about the selected room, more like a frat house room. Toilet paper holder broken, rubber on main door coming off, bathroom door split on the side, couch (dirty, dusty, and full of crumbs), floor wasn’t mopped, hair in sheets, bed squeaky, old linen, uneven floors and my bathroom spray came up missing. Should have stayed at the Hilton, but the event I was going to was across the street. This stay was convenient in location but inconvenient on comfort. Please don’t stay there unless you have too.

I highly recommend staying at a different hotel. When I checked in I had to sign a waiver that if I smoked in the room I would owe an additional $250. After checking in I headed to my room which reeked of smoke and was very low lit. I pulled back the mattress and right in front of the headboard were dead bugs. Needless to say I quickly exited the room and hotel. No way was it worth bringing bugs home. I went to another hotel and attempted to cancel the reservation online for this place. I got a generic email reply from this hotel and never heard a peep about their bug ridden dump. Steer clear and do yourself a favor stay somewhere else.

Pros - you get what you pay for. Updates were done but they put lipstick on a pig. Cons - the room smelled, the bed was lumpy, the area around the hotel is less than savory, bfast wast not worth eating, coffee machine was disgusting, non hotel guests were hanging around chatting it up with the workers, the clerk that checked me in appears to be viciously mad at the world and lets you know. I wasn’t even sure my car would be in tact when I went out the next morning. It’s not safe. Do not recommend it.

It smelled like a sewer in my room. I called the front desk to explain it was making me sick and they never sent housekeeping. I had to go buy air freshener and cleaner myself. To make it worse when I went to get into bed there were stains ALL over. Most disgusting gross room ever.

When I checked in, the gal said have a good evening. I told her that I was going back to my room to read 196 pages of a document and I was already exhausted. She encouraged me and said "you can do it".

I stay at LaQuinta Inns because I travel with two large dogs and LQI are supposedly dog-friendly. The staff was courteous and caring, the room was reasonably clean, but the hotel is in a terrible area, there are absolutely no facilities for exercising dogs, which puts one outside in the middle of the night in an area that is simply unsafe looking for a patch of grass where Rover can go poop. My dog had an accident in the hallway, was charged $100 to clean a strip of carpet that was worn out 10 years ago. Just don't. Find a different hotel.
