The location is amazing. It is nestled 2/3 of the way up a mountain. You definitely need 4 wheel drive to reach this location. Don't book it unless you have this or access to 4 wheel drive. The home was decently equipped. A weekend in the mountains was almost perfect. The owner made great area recommendations. The owner is a great communicator in both Spanish and English.
The cons - the kitchen was a little messy when we arrived. This happens and would not deter me from renting here again. The owner mentions a generator in the listing and there was not one. We lost power around 10pm our last night there and the power never came back on, we left at 9am the following day. There is also the concern of safety. The home was broken into while we were in the home. The intruder went through our things in the bedroom while we were relaxing downstairs. Finally we heard him and my husband chased him out of the home. The owner did quickly respond to this and tried to comfort us, but then we had no power shortly there after and it made for an even rougher night. We later found out he had also broken into a neighboring home.
Overall, I would rent here again if the owner has a generator and hires a night watchman which he mentioned after the break in. Again, he is responsive and the home's location is fantastic.
