The Google map shown on this site says our house is 7.4km to Forster centre. This is incorrect! Maybe by the way the crow flies. For the rest of us, our house is situated around Wallis Lake about 40 minutes drive from Forster in Coomba Park.
With 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms ( 1 ensuite), it's the perfect getaway for one or two families in an eco-friendly atmosphere. Enjoy the rural harmony of the birds singing, the active kangaroo life and the magnificent sunsets over the lake from the fabulous wrap around entertaining deck, stay cool in summer on the shaded downstairs paved area or nestle by the wood fire stove with a spine-chilling best seller in the cooler seasons. Minimbah has all the key ingredients for a relaxing holiday.
Coomba Park is only on tank water so if you object to drinking rainwater you will need to bring your own bottled water. (The tank water tastes much better!)

Minimbah, everything you could want in an affordable restful family holiday.
Minimbah - 'home of the teacher'
Minimbah, an old Aboriginal name for Forster was chosen by the owners when they found out it meant 'home of the teacher'. Approval to use the name was sought from the local land council and Minimbah it is!
Minimbah is the ultimate in recycling! A house which began its life in Hawks Nest travelled to a house supermarket in Cooranbong before being purchased by the owners, who then transported it to its new home, built underneath and extended around with a large 3 metre deck. The majority of timber used in its construction is also recycled, water is solar heated and water treatment is onsite as we try to keep its footprint to a minimum. Cooling ceiling fans are installed in every room and there is excellent cross ventilation through the open plan living, kitchen and dining areas.
