Pre-cruise stay
Pre-cruise stay. Booked well in advance and therefore the price was good. Approximately 5 miles from the port. I believe they also offer a stay and park cruise package but we didnt make use of this. Very busy so if you need to park you need to get there handy. Small village with shops for any items you have forgotten and a couple of pubs. Easy to find off the motorway, however our satnav took us off early so we got a bit of a tour of the area! There is a restaurant on site with a very basic menu, limited if you have dietary requirements. Breakfast is included in room rate and is a buffet style. Restaurant does get very busy. Once in your room you can’t hear any noise and the bed is very comfortable. We were on third floor road side and the was no noise from the road either. Just one thing the cleaning staff need to knock before just walking in the following morning, It was early and a good while before checkout and we hadn’t even been for breakfast - maybe just a little eager for turnaround! Check in was from 2pm check out was 11am. Overall a good place to stay pre-cruise.

Not a good night stay
The bed mattress was like being on a tampoline, in a small rowing boat on high seas, the most uncomfortable bed ive slept on, every movement was followed by a torrent of to and fro. Not to forget that i could clearly hear the conversation of the people in an adjoining room as if they were right next to me, not an experience you want when trying to get to sleep after a long day and a 5hr journey.

Very dirty room. Avoid.
This was a very disappointing stay, the room was so dirty, I had to leave early. The toilet had faeces still in it on arrival, vomit splatter up the tiles, the grey carpet was brown with dirt, and the bed sheets were stained. Very unpleasant room. I will not be visiting there again.

We stayed for one night to see a nearby show, we arrived & the receptionist couldn’t have gone through things any faster if she tried, I think she thought she was being efficient but I found it totally unnecessary when there was nobody else checking in, it was like the customer was a hindrance. The room was ok, they odd small pillows and there was a dubious brown stain behind the sink. We went to make a coffee for each of us where we found minimal milks especially for the huge number of coffee sachets & tea bags. We went to our show & returned to find not a single parking space by made do as there is no overflow option so ours like other cars was abandoned haphazardly. We got to our room to listen to all our neghbours as the sound proofing is particularly poor. In the morning I went for a shower, reached for the shampoo to find it completely empty, far from ideal, the shower was really good but be aware they use toilet paper similar to the supermarket basics so make sure you double up to prevent unfortunate incidents. Breakfast was busy the choice was good, nice to see mugs for coffee which the machines fill to 60% - too small for the mug with a single go but too much if you try to fit double. The cooked breakfast was reasonable although I strongly recommend adding some butter to your insipid scrambled eggs, also the hash browns had been pre-cooked then reheated so they tasted horrid as evidenced by so many people leaving them as we did. So many small issues!
