Welcome to the River's Edge Retreat- we are so honored you're here.

Our quaint cottage provides one of the most scenic, secluded and tranquil stays in the upper peninsula. Our location provides total relaxation and the perfect amount of room for a wonderful family vacation. Relax with a cup of coffee in the morning on the deck enjoying the view of the river, have a campfire under the stars at night, enjoy a dip in the beautiful water, host a family barbeque, play any yard game you want on the beyond spacious property, take some day trips to the famous Munising, Marquette, or Manistique to sight see and explore, and after a very busy-or not busy day, be sure to keep the windows open and let the river lull you to sleep.

The cottage is fully equipped with all your vacation needs. Fully stocked large kitchen, provided bed linens, a washer and dryer, smart TV, plenty of space for your family and more.

We are located just over a mile down dirt roads- but promise its worth for the total seclusion and privacy. Our location is also ideal for Snowmobile and ATV/ORV riding with trails located nearby.

Very Comfy Cabin
The cabin was as pictured; nice furniture, a well equipped kitchen and 2 nice bedrooms. The main attraction though, was the Escanaba River flowing just steps from the cabin. The expansive deck was perfect for relaxing. We enjoyed watching birds and seeing deer along the gravel road nearby.

We really enjoyed this cabin and it's beautiful location. It is quiet and has lots of room to roam around. The cabin is really nice and the views and river close by are great. The cabin is clean and new looking. Well appointed. We hope to be back.

Home away from home
Property was as advertised. My husband, myself and our two dogs stayed. It's hard to find dog friendly rentals and since we have special needs animals, leaving them at boarding or with other people isn't an option. This property allows us to bring the dogs, they enjoy the outdoors and we get some time away from the "normal day to day". Stayed 3 nights. Check in and out was seamless. Only critique would be to have a general supply of things like many other vrbos do, i.e cooking oils, spices, firewood, etc. Yes it was listed on the "what to bring" however traveling with the above isnt typical for short stays. Other than that it was wonderful. And the sound of the river was great.

Relaxing Stay
My husband, pups and I just stayed this last weekend. It was better in person than in pictures. The property and cottage are beautiful. Very secluded feel (even with neighbors visible). We were able to listen to the river roar (it rained the whole time we were there) and even got the pups in to play for a bit! There were games to play, a grill to use and we utilized the tv for Netflix. The host was very responsive. We were thankful for our quick getaway and would definitely stay here again!

Just beautiful
It was such a beautiful property, just how it looks in pictures! We had a great time. I would definitely stay again. Loved that there is fans in the bedrooms, for people who love the fan noise! Very nice property!

The property rules prohibited us from staying at the property. Communication was good. I blame it on myself for not asking for the entire set of rules in advance of paying in full. I did ask for the cleaning and dog fee to be refunded. The owner has not responded. Property looks nice...just bad fit based on my misunderstanding of how VRBO operates. I would have appreciated knowing the property rules before making payment.

A Beautiful Journey. Rapids are amazing and peaceful.
We pulled up to a well maintained house. Somewhat newly remodeled. There’s a large open lot with beautiful rapids from the Escanaba rapids in the back yard. Our grandkids had an amazing time exploring the property. We’d stay there again in a heart beat.

Nice relaxing spot
The River house was such a relaxing spot. Close enough to everything we wanted to explore. Beds weren’t all that comfy but the location made it worth it. Nice secluded and quiet with a lovely view.

Perfect relaxing location
We stayed with our two children and dog, it was enough room for our whole family. The house is just as pictured. Location is better than pictures. Within reasonable driving distance to everything you need. Would highly recommend and would definitely come back. Thank you for giving our family this opportunity to stay in this wonderful home.

Beautiful stay away from it all
This was a beautiful cabin. It's nicer than any other cabins we have rented previously. It's central for day trips to many beautiful spots in the UP. The river is calm and peaceful. It's also easy to find the cabin. We got scared off by the private property signs but had we followed our original instincts we would have found it. The owner replied very quickly when we reached out before figuring out where to go. It's definitely worth the trip!

We had a relaxing time.
The property was beautiful and the river was amazingly relaxing. The beds were extremely comfortable. One suggestion, have 2 forms of navigational devices. Our GPS on our phone took us to the post office, and we lost cell reception. (We do a lot of traveling all over the country with little to no problem with cellphone reception. We unfortunately didn't expect to loose it completely.) We eventually found the road, thankfully we came across a hunter with a plat map.

Beautiful Setting
We all loved the beautiful and peaceful setting! The home is clean and tastefully updated! The view from the back deck is perfect for your morning coffee! Great communication with the home owner! We would definitely stay again!
