The Birdhouse...A quiet country apartment In Cosby, Tn

Our spacious one bedroom has all you need with a fully equipped kitchen & bath. We provide all linens and appliances as well as coffee and hot chocolate. It's the perfect space for a quiet getaway. If you want activity we are a short 1/2 hour drive from Gatlingburg, Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, & tourism. We are only minutes from hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park (Cosby Entrance area). We are pet friendly. Free Apple TV, WI-FI, & Washer/dryer.

We offer a one bedroom, second floor apartment with vaulted ceilings with an enclosed screened porch so privacy is no issue. The apartment is separate from the main home. Our apartment has full kitchen and bath, a king size bed, and two extra long couches. A relaxing electric fireplace was just added for the cooler weather. The apartment has a new washer, dryer, & full size water heater so there is plenty of hot water for guests. All new appliances are being installed, only the fridge is left to change. We will gladly accommodate up to 6 total guests using Coleman cots.

You have a personal (free) parking space and an enclosed private porch. The entire apartment is yours and sits among a small vineyard of concord and muscadine grape vines and fig trees. The fruit is used regularly to make jams, jellies, and goodies which are available for purchase.

We are only a message away (if not already on site) to help with questions or any special needs for the apartment. Please feel free to let us know how we can help make your stay better.

This is a rural country environment....we do not have sidewalks and you must walk through grass. A pullout sofa bed and Coleman cots serve as sleeping arrangements for a 3rd - 6th person. Sheets, Blankets, and pillows are provided.

Public transportation is non-existent in this rural area, so you will need a car. During deep winter we do receive fair amounts of snow.

We love our neighborhood because it's family. I grew up on this property so it holds a special place in my heart. My Papa still lives on the property. He is very friendly and a talkative type. Papa makes all the jellies, jams, and woodcrafts you see in the apartment in his small workshop. We're all friendly and the views are great. It's quiet and safe. We've never felt more at peace than here. We love our area and how close we are to local eateries, the Foothills Parkway, and even the nearby tourism (30-45 min based on destination and traffic). This is a country mountain area and wildlife is all around. Please enjoy it and be safe.

Good for the price
This rental is a little hard to walk up to we had a big heavy cooler and would not roll on the rocks if you are traveling lite and have no disabilities this is a nice little cozy place. There is also a very steep ramp to get up keep that in mind have any mobility problems.

Enjoyed the Birdhouse!
The Birdhouse was exactly like the description. Outstanding cleanly, but wish they had a broom that we could have used. We enjoyed the fire pit and the grill. We were unable to clean the grill as no tools but fuel in the tank. Large kitchen with stools at the island which we loved. House was perfect in size for everyone to spend time together.

We will not be staying here again!
The photos of the property were misleading. They should have taken a photo of the rugged sidewalk that we had to climb to get to the cabin. My wife is handicapped. It was all she could do to climb the rocky trail. If we had seen a photo of the rocky sidewalk we would have never rented this place. We were very disappointed.

Wonderful property to stay at
Everything was very clean, lots of fresh towels and all kinds of things you would need like at home....right down to toothpicks, snacks, coffee pods, shower body wash and very nicely decorated. There was even a grill on the porch to use. I'd stay here again and will recommend it to friends and family.

Nice property in a quiet area
Great place - clean, quiet and all appliances in great condition. Not too far a drive from all the scenic spots and some great food. I think the only reason not to give this property a 5-star rating is that it was a little cluttered with small items for sale and there was no closet or dresser to store any clothes. And only 3 hangers (5, if I removed the for-sale items from 2 others), although no place to hang clothes either. had to stack clothes on kitchen counter.

The birdhouse is a delightful place to stay. It was exceptionally clean. The extra attention to details was greatly appreciated. My only recommendation is some signage at the entrance of the road. Very difficult to find in the dark!But my sister and I truly enjoyed our stay and would repeat again.

Being honest.
Very cute, exceptionally clean, wonderful bed. Not for someone with children because of the amount of items sitting everywhere. Not for seniors because of the difficulty walking up hill on unsteady gravel and obsticles. Great for younger set. Every amenity was there.

We stayed five nights, and found everything was as advertized. Very quiet, bed was comfortable, and entire apt was clean and spotless. Only a few miles to Gatlinburg, and close to the national park areas. Full kitchen was a plus and we used it for most of our meals. Also features a full size washer and dryer. The host provided snacks, dish soap, laundry soap, coffee and tea, and several extras that would not be included at most rentals. The couches in the livingroom are low and a little hard to get up from is the only complaint I have.

Great stay, clean and cute place. Few notes if you’re bringing your furr kids. Be aware there’s 4 dogs on the hill in the back that will be very verbal with your dogs. They charged towards mine but didn’t end up coming all the way down. The yard is pretty tiny for walking the dog to go potty. The National park right near the house is wonderful but dogs aren’t allowed. The closest hiking area that allows dogs is about 35 minutes away. It was a great experience and would definitely go back!

It was a very nice place to stay. It was quiet and just the right size for myself and my niece. We came down for a weekend away to go hiking and just relax. We always stay in Cosby and we decide to come down in October for more hiking we will try to stay here again if it is available.

The birdhouse B&B is the perfectly sized accommodation for a couple (and 🐕 dog). Very clean, with very charming decor inside and on the porch - contains a lot of handmade carvings from owner Huber, with various crochet craft items for sale. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Enjoyed conversation with Mr Huber, & interesting history of the family and town. Nice stay in a country setting and away from the overly-commercialized Dollywood and Gatlinburg. Note: if you have a dog, do what the property manager requests - you must leash your pet because there are neighbor dogs.

Snow on Christmas!
The property was located on a good road with no steep hills and etc. It snowed and the roads were clear enough to get out and about and we only lost power for a couple of hours. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly need just like home. The entire place was adorable. We would definitely stay at this property again!
