Had the best time at Riu with my boyfriend. The food was fantastic! There was always an a fun activity going on. Definitely would stay here again. Only downside is that it’s deeper into Costa Mujeres so traveling to excursions and other parts of Cancun takes a while. Also they don’t have any lotions so you have to bring your own

We had a great time i liked that the hotel always had things you could do never got bored but also if you just needed to relax you could do that too. From all the restaurants i think the one i liked most was the buffet, they had a variety of different cousins.

Property was amazing one of the best well kept and maintained. Staff and service was better than the states, always going above and beyond and making the guest feel like they are the only ones here. One thing that I could suggest is that the entertainment could be better! Love the live music but wish there was more of. Pools could be a bit warm but the ocean is nice and refreshing! For daily activities they were Ok nothing really exciting to want to participate except if your Into sports it’s perfect for that the only thing is that I wish they would spread out the activities because they try to put multiple of the activities that everyone likes at the same time, so your having to pick and choose which one. Instead they had fewer turnout in each. Sometimes not enough for a game. Spend more time looking for players than playing. But overall one of the best times I’ve spent on vacation. Will come back!

Great Visit. Small the farthest Hotrl from strip. If you can book on the Hotel Strip. Really nice place though. Uber very inexpensive. Thank you for a nice time.

DO NOT TRUST any RIU claims of providing transportation. You may get an email from RIU saying transportation is included. Even if you follow all instructions in that email, you may find yourself at the airport being told by the transportation company that they no longer service that location, as we did. We had to pay insane airport taxi prices to get to and from the airport to the hotel. RIU will say it isn't their fault.... If you choose to go to a RIU hotel, book your own transportation in advance. It will make your trip much smoother and will save significant money and headache versus believing the email they send out promising transportation and signing their name. Or choose a different hotel chain, as we will be doing in the future. Otherwise, this is a beautiful resort with great amenities and staff. It is newer, well maintained, and the food and drinks are all excellent. We enjoyed our multiple stays here, but the headache of transportation will not soon go away.

Okay

We stayed at the property for our honeymoon. We had a family emergency and needed to check out 3 days early. We were told by the hotel front desk/customer service that we would be entitled to a refund since it was due to a family emergency if we showed proof of the emergency. We left Cancún and I proceeded to start the refund request with proof of the emergency. Since then I have had both of my requests denied with no info besides “you can’t get a refund”. Being lied to by multiple sources, the resort and hotels.com does not feel good. I would just like more info besides “no refund”. I would re think your stay in case something unforeseen arises, both companies are hard to work with.
