Stayed there in November , The hotel itself is great, new, clean, tons of things to do, and 1)) rooms are so nice, big, daily room service 10/10, 2)) buffett Food, Buffet is average, but very edible, kinda repetitive for the most parts , but we enjoyed it and now complaints. 7/10 3)) restaurants, there is 4 special restaurante tried the asian, italian and steakhouse and i think they are great, i love the first come first served and not very strict with dress code which i think is great. 10/10 4)) I don't drink alcohol, so can not tell, but there are many bars, and one is 24 hours, they all serve coffee and teas as well, overall bars are good !! 5)) pools, 5 pools, 2 with bars , one with water park slides which we really loved, each has different atmosphere, quite loud.... etc , 10/10 6)) service,,, average, no big complaints, but it did not feel like 5 stars, some tenders by the pool where rude, sometimes we would enter the buffet and nobody cares to seat us, but again no big deal, still pros > cons. 7/10 7)) My Favorite part >> Entertainment team, from 10 am to 11 pm , there is always something to do, the night shows are amazing, we never felt bored during night hours, my favorite was the pool games, the volleyball and bingo and other games , there is also a weekly party in another riu, but they have free shuttles, i have not been , but i heard they were amazing 11/10 8)) Area around, Nothing, middle of nowhere, to get to anywhere it is 50-100$ Sum,, very good 8/10

Was not pleased with the food . Other than the buffet all the restaurants were not good and not any Mexican food was involved in the food . The gym was unbelievable mediocre . The view from our room was great but the beds were awful woke up everyday with pain in the neck the blankets were barely even blankets. The staff was friendly but we were forgotten almost everytime when we were eating

The property is great, very loud, great entertainment, the host spoke a lot of Spanish and the rest of us had to keep guessing what they were talking about. The food is terrible, Iam talking about flys all around the buffet and it’s tasteless. The food on carnival cruise is way better.

We loved how luxurious the place was and how friendly the staff was and clean things were! The part about wasn’t so good was it was too noisy too late made it harder to get some sleep due to stayers not the resort.

The buffet exceeded expectations! The staff made the stay! Everyone was very nice and accommodating. Jehu at the pool side bar was our favorite, he always remembered our group of 4. The Resort was always being cleaned, grounds were impeccable.

Such an amazing time! Only thing I do want to maybe mention is the music being played at the pool areas! But other than that thank you for everything and staffs attention! Brian in the buffet area Jehu in the bar area made it very fun and amazing time for us!!!!! Maybe another thing in the 24hr bar area the men at the bar So RUDE unless they see American money they will offer to help us but the time at the club at the resort was amazing!! THANK YOU RUI FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND HOSPITALITY WE WILL BE BACK!

The resort is beautiful but pretty far from everything (about a 45 min drive anywhere). Private dinner, 10 out of 10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The other food is regular resort food, nothing special. No room service and the 24 hour food is more of a vending area where you heat up your own burger, burritos or hot dogs. Very clean, drinks were good, not watered down. Staff is amazing!

The property was beautiful. However, for an adults only resort, the entertainment was very lame and boring. Riu parties were at other Riu resorts with kids! So we were disappointed with this aspect! Riu adults only resorts should cater more towards adults and have adult style entertainment. The pool games were games we could buy at Walmart and I was looking forward to BINGO as I have played at other RIUs but the Riu Latino handed me a 2x2 piece of paper with a tooth pick and didn’t explain how to play even after I asked . There was no BINGO on the board!
