Just what a tired family needed.
We arrived late after a long day of driving and the staff at the desk immediately put us at ease. I believe her name was Nicole? We had 5 people in our room (when I booked, it said up to 6 could stay) and she brought us an extra bed and linens and towels. It was above and beyond. Yes, the property is still under renovation, but our accessible room had all the grab bars and accommodations I would typically expect from accessible rooms. The breakfast was pretty typical. My kids get excited about hotel waffles…and they got them. I would absolutely book here again.

Clean but needs an update
We were comfortable in our room. There were many stains on the chair so we had to put a towel on it just to feel comfortable sitting on it. Wall paper was ripping off the walls. This place needs a major update. It appears it is in process. Breakfast was in a small conference room, although the main breakfast area appeared ready to use. The toaster was out of order - Really? Can you spend $10 and go get one at the store?

Something I didn’t know: by booking on hotels.com, the adjacent rooms that were advertised were not actually available. We ended up on separate floors, and even a call to the Hampton corporate customer service line didn’t resolve it. The hotel itself was nice. Good breakfast. Nice pool. Comfortable beds.

We understood that the property would be undergoing some renovations but felt like Hampton Inn would make appropriate adjustments since the property was still open. However, I would say that a hotel that was this torn up should close for renovations. There was equipment and boxes everywhere. I couldn’t get up to the service counter because of the caution tape. My room was old and dingy and not to HI standards. I had requested a “quiet” room, and it was quiet the first night, but the second night it sounded like a 2-year-old was having relay races in the room above me until 1 am (even after I reported the noise). The location for breakfast was nasty. The tables hadn’t been wiped and the seating was stained and filthy. The breakfast was the usual HI fare, but beverages were limited. This is my second bad experience with Hampton. I will think twice about booking HI for my next trip.

Weekend family trip
Rooms were clean, beds comfy, and staff friendly. However, the hotel itself was under renovation and a bit of a mess. Large crates/material items for renovation in the hallways. Ice machines down. Breakfast area closed and moved to another small room. Had to take breakfast back up to our room to eat. Pool was cold and so was the pool room. Water in pool overflowing due to water hose left on in the pool.
