Basic room (garden view) we purchased on Expedia was upgraded to ocean view king. The views were spectacular and the room was immaculate. We have stayed at Dreams several times over the last 2 years and it still looks new and modern. Mini fridge was stocked and fresh fruit and chocolates were on the table. At this point, our travel-day stress began to fade. Since it had been a year since our previous visit, we still decided to walk around and check out the resort and see if we noticed any changes. We found the pools to be clean and clear, the bars were stocked with premium liquor, and re-invigorated menu items at the restaurants. Staff were courteous, polite and responsive. It’s hard to think of anything negative to say. If I had to say something negative about our experience, it would be that the house wine was not that palatable. Noteworthy: Karina - experienced, helpful manager Vicky - beach-side server with excellent memory Gloria - BEST omelet maker Alejandro, Fernando, Darvin- favorite restaurant staff Amilcar - hard working bell boy and always has a smile on his face Angel - expert at beach bar & Olio’s bar Rooms come with steamer, 5-10 hangers, and hair dryer. Pillows are fluffy and we slept so well! Plenty of outlets for charging all of your devices. Wifi even works while on the beach.

First, I would like to say I enjoyed the ability to access the 3 resorts at once. It was a treat to know that I could utilize another resorts dining rooms if I chose to do so. But overall I would not stay here again. I was very dissatisfied at the ambush of attending the member meeting. I was told it would be a 90 minute presentation that instead took 3 hours. The presenter was nice but it was what followed that was not to my liking. I told him no thank you & that I could not commit at that time but 3 other associates tried to convince me & appeared annoyed that they couldn’t convince me to join. The last thing you want to do on vacation is spend 20k extra to be inducted into a membership/timeshare. A 3 hour presentation was a complete interruption to what should have been a trip full of relaxation and fun. I also was very dissatisfied at the check in process. Why did it take an 90 minutes? The check out process was very quick but no urgency or care was given when I asked why my room door was open upon my arrival back to my room at 1130. If I was checked in late why was I pushed out of my room immediately?? I asked the concierge and all they said was “oh house keeping must have been checking to see if you were gone.” Then why leave my door open for anyone to steal or tamper with my valuables?? This is not how you treat your guest at all. I was contacted about my dissatisfaction stating someone would reach out for further details yet no one has done so 1 month later.

The resort itself is beautiful. Had a swim out pool view, would definitely go for a swim out ocean view! And everybody at Dreams is considered “preferred” so you have access to all 3 resorts. Secrets is adults only. 18 and up.

Having access to all of the resorts and restaurants on site was a huge plus. The only negative thing that I could say about this would be that it does take a little while for the water in the showers to warm up to temperature. Again, overall excellent place to stay! We will definetely be making a return visit!

The property is good, if you're looking for a awesome pool I would say this isn't the hotel for you, but if you're looking for a great beach with a view this is the hotel for you. We were able to get a beach chair and umbrella at 1030am with others still available. Dreams had great food as well as secrets. This is a kid friendly hotel but it was still quite and enjoyable!

The ceiling in our shower fell in and we saw towels wrapped around the pipes in the sub-ceiling. Obviously an attempt to “fix” a previous leak. We then asked to change rooms and the room we were eventually placed in had a non-working toilet. We let them know three times and it never was fixed. We had to use the public toilets for the rest of our stay. We are not returning.

Very limited selection at buffets. Cleanliness of resort, specifically restrooms, was sub par. Both the safe and the in room scale did not work. Doors to hotel room didn’t close correctly.

We loved snorkeling from the beach every day. There were a lot of sea creatures to discover. The grounds were nice, but certainly not immaculate. There was trash that was outside of rooms in the grass that was never disposed of despite being brought to the resorts attention. We got suckered into a high-pressure sales pitch that was pitched to us as only an advertisement for the other Hyatt hotels and resorts. This advertisement was only supposed to be 90 minutes…150 minutes later, we finally got out of it with the gifts they promised…won’t do that again! We should’ve known better, but we trusted that the concierge was being honest with us.

Lots of trash next to breezeway outside our room, staff acted put out when ordering a drink, couldn’t get a coke for breakfast because bar wasn’t opened yet, very rocky at edge of water, food not covered on buffet bar, birds were eating on it

We showed up on Wednesday to celebrate my daughters 18th birthday. The staff took out passports to confirm identify and noted information down. They were nice when they greeted us. We were informed our original room was not available until the next day so we were put in a room with one bed instead of two. We asked for extra towels the next day and after 2 1/2 hrs I called again because they didn’t show up. An hour later they still didn’t show up. By then we decided to go out into the pool area and I went to the lobby to let them know. They advised us our original room would be ready at 3pm that day. I let it go and decided to enjoy the beach. There were so many nats at the pool area that our drinks would end up with them floating around. Our swim up had so many bats floating in the water that we would come out with them on us. The lobby guys who provided rides to the other resorts were very sweet and we did enjoy their service. But lobby staff at the adjoining resorts, like Sunscape and secrets would never acknowledge or greet you. I took my daughter on Sunday after her 18th birthday to secrets and they questioned her age. I told them I could show them her passport and that our resort “dreams” was advised she would be 18 and even told us we could go to Secret (an all adult) resort on Saturday. They allowed us to eat there Sunday but then Monday we returned and they asked for her ID because our receptionists reported that we never provided her with this information.

We love staying at Dreams Cozumel because the staff are all wonderful! They make you feel like home away from home in paradise. We especially enjoyed Miguel at the pools, Jonathan at the bars, Julio in the World Cafe and Gloria who made delicious omelets each day! We also ventured over to Secrets and Sunscape since it’s included for meals and activities. Mily at the Sunscaoe front desk was so helpful!

Everything was awesome all around except the beach wasn’t kept clean from all the seaweed washing up on the beach. Time of year I guess and hurricane season.
