Snow Capped MTN View & Starry Nites: 1 hour to Great Sand Dunes & Monarch Skiing

Large great room plus two bedrooms, dining, kitchen and full bath; 1200 sq ft with spacious feel on second floor; all to your selves! Beautiful, secluded and serene setting with stunning mountain and valley views indoors and out. Gorgeous sun & moon rises from the east & west balconies. Experience high end off-the-grid living, with 2 story solarium, and vast, open natural space. One hour to Monarch Ski Resort and Great Sand Dunes; 28 Spiritual Centers in ten minutes. Amazing star gazing!
The space
The sunrises and sunsets are worth stopping everything for dining and star gazing from indoors or either balcony; the east is 8' x 16' and the west is 7' x 22'. The entire space for you is about 1200 sq. ft. If you want to bring young kids or pets please request special exception. The profound quiet and stunning views will astound you. There is a large Stone Labyrinth on the grounds for Walking Meditation and profound relaxation. Our property also has a rustic log cabin without plumbing and only some electricity but a cozy wood stove for the rustic experience. This is booked for three guests separately., mention this need in your messages to us. The DEEP QUIET and DARK SKIES of Crestone and the Great Sand Dunes are well known!
Guest access
You'll enjoy the entire second floor for yourselves, particularly when the sunrise or sunset light shines all the way through the penthouse feeling space. It consists of two bedrooms, each about 12' x 12' that can have a king bed in each, or one or two singles in the South Bedroom. The great room has an amazing Sange de Cristo view with a padded Persian rug for doing yoga or exercising while enjoying the mountain view. A full kitchen with dining space, is part of the great room that measures 27' by 26'. The entrance/hallway library measures 16' x 10' with sliding door western sunset views. The full tiled bath has a deep bathtub for soaking and a warming towel rack. Part of the great room is lofted for a spacious feel but guest access is restricted to the short lofted area due to narrow short stair access. The apartment is attached to a 1.5 story green house on the south that is quite interesting to experience how it supports the heating and cooling of the apartment. Home orientation and window placement is so important for sustainable living. You'll enjoy the luxury and conveniences we've designed into our off the grid home.
Other things to note
We take good care of virtual workers who come to stay by providing plenty of work space plus access to two separate internet providers with the fastest up and down load speeds that are available in this rural area. No problems with multiple people conducting virtual meetings simultaneously.

Great get away
We enjoyed the views and the quiet. We hiked trails, explored the small town and the sand dunes. My only suggestion is bring something for the smell (candle, plug-in, etc).smelsmell.

Star gazing with family and visiting dune
The area was remote yet full of interesting activities for family. We really enjoyed the remoteness for star gazing with kids which gave us a great opportunities for amazing pictures. And day time exploring for wildlife and near by waterfalls and creeks to cool off. Place had everything we needed for comfort with great views and spacious for our family. Very interesting place and not too difficult to find and near by town for dining.

Great property for off-the-grid living
The location (mountain view) was absolutely beautiful. Owners were responsive and check-in was easy. But there are some things to note if you plan on staying here. First, it was hot. It is above a greenhouse and the entire living space was in the mid-80's when we checked in. It didn't cool down until after midnight. Also, the beds and floors had significant amounts of cat hair on them. Unfortunately, at least 2 of our family members are allergic to cats and we needed to check out early.
