Poorly managed and dirty and poorly functioning rooms . Broken down and/or Luke warmish hot tub. No amenities . Breakfast was pathetic. And inhouse strict no refund policy. I tried to leave within an hour of seeing the place but had booked on Expedia . That's how the business operates. It uses their policy as umbrella to take advantage of weirdly weary travelers or unexpecting guests to the area Unsanitary . Owners are probably out of money. The sheets and blankets are from the 1970s If you have a black light, I'm sure the rooms look like a Jackson Pollock painting

This property is in need of updates - electrical (couldn't keep electronics in the outlet), furniture, heating and cooling unit (couldn't set a temperature), better continental breakfast - very little offered. The staff were very unfriendly. The hot tub was broken and we were not notified that it was until we arrived and no money back.

I have stayed here before but it has gone downhill so much. The refrigerator in the room did not work at all. The hot tub was broken. Once in the room the door didn’t want to open causing me to panic. I finally got it to open by locking and unlocking it many times. The toilet rocked if you sit on it and I thought it would break. The mattress is on top of a very slippery board and the mattress moved if I sat on the bed or put on my shoes. This is very dangerous. I will never stay or recommend this hotel to anyone. There are many other hotels in the Deerwood, Crosby, Brainerd Lakes area to choose from.

The room smelled like mildew and there were water / dark spots on the ceiling. After my one-night stay, I woke up with sinus and chest congestion. The bedding was also very low quality, with only a top sheet and extremely thin blanket on top. It was uncomfortable and very cold in the room. Staff was unorganized and while not unfriendly, they weren’t exactly friendly either.

Talk to general manager at another location. Had reserved three nights here after checking in. Wanted to leave immediately. Would not change hotels or refund the future night stays. Was told it had to be cleared by owner and owner wasn't here until the day that I'm to check out early next week. Refuse to refund me or change hotels because unworking amenities. The reason I chose to stay. A debacle with no customer service. I have many pictures I'd love to post to show the torn lampshades hanging curtains holes on the walls, blood or pukers or something attached to the ceiling. I would recommend the 40 club in Aiken which isn't very nice but looks like five star compared to this place

They tell you they are pet friendly. Take your money for booking, non-refundable (the room was $107. They upon check-in charge almost $300 for not having a kennel for dog for cleaning and deposits. This hotel bates pet owners into paying outrageous pet charges. It is NOT pet friendly! Or at $400 a night!
