Key Selling Points
Eden Cottage is a self contained part of the larger Holmsdale house built in 1892 for Lord Tarvit, the local landowner, and given to one of his female relatives. You will find the Tarvit name across Cupar, including the Hill of Tarvit mansion and gardens which is at the top of the hills behind Holmsdale (and well-worth a visit when you stay). Holmsdale and Eden Cottage sit opposite the river Eden which is one of two rivers in Cupar (a Pictish word meaning place where rivers meet). From the window of Eden Cottage's main bedroom you can see the names and year of every roofer since 1904 scratched into the roofing lead.
