Plus points: Had a pleasant stay at Mercure Swansea. Room was big, bed was comfortable, whole place was very clean, and hotel was conveniently situated to get into city centre. Minus points: My wife found that the hot water was not hot enough for her bath (though it was warm enough for me!). We were offered vouchers for breakfast for £12 when we arrived which we bought for 2 mornings of our stay but they weren’t great value. The receptionist said he “would give us £10 if we couldn’t find what we wanted on the breakfast menu- they had everything!”. This was a bold statement and I claim my tenner, as there was no porridge, no bananas and no croissants on the mornings when we had breakfast in the hotel. Which was disappointing frankly. I ended up having cereal and toast, and fruit juice and coffee. I’m pretty sure that would’ve cost less than £12 elsewhere.

If you wish to enjoy the place you must visit with your car, and if you are not visiting with your car don't plan to leave the hotel early on a Sunday. My experience was a nightmare as we were unable to get a uber we eventually missed our coach back home

Great location, staff were welcoming and helpful. Only issue was the room was quite hot, a fan was provided but it didnt really cool the room down enough. Not a deal breaker and it didnt detract from the overall experience.

Ideal, quiet location and plenty of parking. Rooms are comfortable, clean and nice touch having a sofa to sit on. Booking in was very easy with pleasant staff. We didnt eat in restaurant so can't comment on food.

Unfortunately there was someone above me partying all night. I got 2hr sleep before doing the Swansea Ironman that wasn’t helpful at all! The hotel is fine but just bad luck.
