All we needed was a place for the night to sleep as we are traveling from Toronto to Myrtle Beach. Pros -Good price. -Friendly staff. -Easy check in. -Good location to highway and dining options. Cons -Under renovation (arrived at 8pm and construction above our room was still going). -Shower head had never been cleaned. Nasty black film around it. -Lack of outlets for charging devices. -Bed was stiff and uncomfortable (others may like that).

The condition of room was subpar! When entering room,turned on A/C, dust and a terrible smell was emited! Checked and removed A/C filter,Filthy and looked as if it was never cleaned. Took to front desk,told clerk about it,she seemed clueless. Said I wanted to talk to manager Clerk went into the back to get manager ( who the clerk And manager both said for me to wash filter in bathtub to clean it! I DIDN'T KNOW I ALSO DO MAITENIENCE ON MY RENTED HOTEL ROOM FREE!!!). Manager basically said they wasnt much she could do. She claimed she would adjust the prce,SHE DID NOT!!!! I would like to see the Adjustment that was to be applied! Maybe they should contact me about this you think? We have stayed there for the last 4 years while travelling to Penn. Unfortunately this will be the.Last time we will be staying there! AVOID THIS PLACE! (I'm sure I will receive the General Generic reply that they are sorry and will do their best on my next stay!)

The staff was very friendly. It was an older hotel. The sink water was very slow, but the shower was great. The room smelled a little like stale cigarette smoke.

Property is currently undergoing a remodel, but some things on the recently remodeled thing could stand to be updated as well (for instance, have lamps with power outlets so that people can plug things in on the bed stands easily, which is pretty standard these days). Bathroom had some hard water stains in the toilet that could be removed with some determined cleaning. Breakfast was overly sparse. Could at least have had waffles or biscuits and gravy.

Survived the night with an expectation of what we received. Half of the place looks under renovation the half that we stayed was still in need. Fridge door was open upon arrival with freezer defrosting, towels absorbing the water, and wet carpet

My advise would be to bulldoze down this entire place and start from scratch instead of trying to put lipstick on a pig. I will never ever stay in another Super 8 by Wyndham again.

We requested an accessible room for myself as I was in a severe car accident in 2012 & have some minor mobility issues which make taking a lot of steps difficult. Upon arrival we were told the room we booked wasn't even available & that Expedia didn't share our request for an accessible room. We switched rooms twice before finally getting an accessible room. Upon entering, the room smelled musty. My wife & I figured the smell would dissipate our we'd just grow accustomed to it. I started a cup of coffee for myself as my wife began to heat food for our 8mo, I spotted a large cockroach climbing up the furniture the microwave was placed on & over the remote there. I drew her attention to it where she proceeded to take a photo. We both agreed immediately that we needed to leave as our oldest (2 1/2) was going to be sleeping on the floor in a blow up toddler bed & we wouldn't want her sleeping where cockroaches were. Additionally, my wife took our daughter to the bathroom while I was loading up to find the water was brown, far too brown to be from rust She also saw a 2nd cockroach on their way out of the bathroom area. We were there less than an hour & let the front desk know we were packing up to leave. The front desk attendant suggested the Comfort Inn down the road. We have only received about half of our total back from the 3 night stay. My suggestion? STAY AWAY! We have a BBB Complaint filed and are fighting for a full refund.

Breakfast area needs an overhaul
We were just staying the night while the renovations were done. Everything was great until we were getting ready to go to breakfast and there was hardly anything. There were some cereal bars and some yogurt. To say it was disappointing is an understatement. We were hoping to at least have cereal or some other fresh fruit, but that wasn’t an option. I’ve been at a lot of okay hotels and were given a better breakfast than what we received here. Instead of worrying about fixing rooms the major fix should go to the breakfast area. Some of the appliances were even broken. The yogurt was in an ice bath because the fridge was out of order.

Even though this property is under renovation, the rooms were extremely clean and updated. The bed was comfortable and staff at checkin super helpful. Great idea giving out list of restaurants nearby!
