We booked a room at the Fairmont at 9:00 pm on our way to Dallas because another hotel cancelled our room last minute. We didn't reach the fairmont until 1:30am and when we arrived the lady at the front desk told us the room we had booked through expedia wasn't available. She ended up giving us a complementary upgrade to a very nice (and huge) suite without us even having to ask her to help us. The hotel was very nice and very clean. The pool area was wonderful and we had a great stay. Thank you Fairmont for turning our nightmare into a great weekend. We will absolutely be back.

Was within walking distance of some bars. There are museums and restaurants close by too. The rooms were very nice but reminded me of a Las Vegas vibe. They had a well stocked mini bar and snacks that were in the room. So stocked that we couldn’t even use the fridge in our room. Other than that it was great!

We like that the property accepted our dog and was available last minute when the power went out at our house. We have been to the hotel several times before. This hotel now is obviously in transition. The service was horrible! Both the front desk and housekeeping, though making multiple promises to get us coffee, robes, etc., in our room, never showed up...over several hours. Never showed up before we checked out. The only restaurant available was completely understaffed. We stood waiting at the front of the restaurant for over five minutes before anyone even acknowledged us, and then not until we walked into the Back of the restaurant and talked to a waitress. I understood from the front desk that there is a major renovation to take place. I suggest they start now with service and staffing so they don't lose their following before the renovation.
