We were in Danville to see a play at the Pioneer Playhouse and chose the Red Roof Inn because of the close proximity. The staff was great, the room was clean and very comfortable on an extremely hot day. The breakfast was a full breakfast, not a “bag to go.” We would certainly stay here again if we were in the area.

Bad beds!
Looks old from outside but has been remodeled and inside is very nice. Air conditioner works great. Downside the beds are hard as rocks, worst hotel bed I ever slept on and I didn’t sleep much.

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel
The outside pictures of this hotel are dated. The lobby was fine, and the lady working the desk was pleasant. But our room smelled of dog. There was food left in the mini fridge from a previous guest. Our sheets were very worn and needed to be replaced. There was some mildew in the bathroom. Typical hotel breakfast, but the warmer lids were cracked and busted. We did enjoy the coffee. We would not stay here again.

The toilet did not flush, their was a bag of trash in the dress, they only gave 1 bath towl for 2 people, the shower (tub) felt like it was going to fall to the first floor.

Good value, quiet location. Staff should stop talking amongst themselves when a customer is waiting for assistance. They were talking business but should take care of customers then resume discussions. Happened more than Once during our stay. A little thing but easy to correct.
