Beach View - Kingsdown Resort

Beach View is a picturesque, timber lodge-style chalet set within a holiday park in the popular village of Kingsdown. Sleeping six comfortably, there is a double bedroom with kingsize bed and a twin room upstairs, along with a toilet and wash basin.
Downstairs, there is a third bedroom housing bunk beds, a bathroom, kitchen and open plan lounge/dining room. The chalet is fully equipped with tv; dvd; Freeview; power shower; oven; hob; washing machine and dishwasher and is fully equipped with all the utensils and other items you could possibly need for your stay. Bed linen and towels are also available to hire.
Out the back there is a beautiful decked terrace with bbq and dining set, where you can eat while gazing at the stunning coastal views.
To the front, the chalet enjoys charming views of the holiday park and to the side is a well-maintained children's play park. Also on site is a swimming pool, bar/lounge; children's entertainment centre; table tennis and tennis courts.
Unfortunately no pets are allowed in the park.

Superb location, brilliant stay
We had a fantastic stay with 4 adults and our baby. The location of the site and chalet are super. The view from the rear terrace is great all day long. Would recommend the chalet for families and friends.

Our stay at Kingsdown was magical. These chalets are a wee hidden gem close to Deal. Number 19 is clean, tidy and decorated in a modern "scandi" way. Reanne was a fantastic host. I couldn't fault our stay and would highly recommend visiting.

Absolutely stunning
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The sea views were amazing and the fact that the beach was in walking distance was even better. The on site facilities were good to have access to, though we preferred to explore our surroundings instead. Supermarkets were within 2 to 3 miles from the accommodation which was handy. The people on the grounds and in the local area were very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be revisting.

Great little place but unfortunately the cleaning company let it down
Over all we had a nice time at the property the facility’s were good. We did play table tennis and visit the pool also we used the on site shop. The cabin was well equipped with everything you could need but unfortunately the cleaning was not up to scratch. Spare bedding was yellow we found body hair in the sink and what appeared to be pubes in the largest bed. When we first got there the kids ran in to open all the doors to explore, they happened to open a closet next to the stairs and it was full of mouse droppings and extremely dirty so had I of had a baby or a small child I would have been extremely worried. I did email the owner and ask if she was aware of the lack of cleanliness and she didn’t bother replying. I will probably go back but not to that cabin just because I didn’t even get a reply to my email.

Lovely little property
Not ideal for tall people like my 6ft3 partner but it’s quaint and cosy. Bed not very comfortable either but it was only a place to sleep in we spent a lot of our time out exploring. Overall a nice stay.

Good location, poor housekeeping
Location is great with lots to do around the area, holiday park seems to have given up since covid, only outdoor activities open and shop empty. The cabin itself had everything as listed however, the cleanliness was awful, and defentely not a full covid deep clean as stated, evidence of the resident mouse and build up of dust/dirt around the place. Lack of structured cleaning regime and general maintenance has let this place down.

We have stayed on this site for many years as has other members of the family. To say we were disappointed at this chalet is an understatement. 1 The decking is dangerous as it is broken and rotting, it needs replacing. 2 A very worn sofa, not fit for sitting on, and only one other chair to sit on. This is suppose to house 4/6 people. 3 An illegal heater socket switch in the bathroom. This was opposite the bath and near the floor. Less than 1mtr away. Sparks came out when it was touched with dry hands. 4. No light on the landing at the top of the stairs. Switch didn't work. 5. It was advertised that there was a heater outside on the patio but there wasn't. 6. The bathroom door doesn't open/close properly.

Great location
This property was in a lovely location close to good beaches and lovely places to eat. I was however, somewhat disappointed by the cleanliness and overall maintenance of the property. The sofa was badly stained and extremely uncomfortable. The curtains were falling apart, the decking at the back was broken in places, the bathroom floor was dirty and the mattress protectors were stained. There was even a mouse in the property.

We had a fab time , the chalet was great. Super impressed with the kitchen everything you could need was there. It was great to sit out on the decking and be able to see my daughter playing and listen to the sea . The facilities on the park were good. Felt very safe here and the staff were very friendly. Great property, quiet park, fab location
Property is on Kingsdown Holiday Park which is quiet & felt really safe with all cars in car park so kids can play without worry of traffic etc. Swimming pool & mini golf are also great. Short walk downhill to three great pubs, the pebble beach and flat walk/cycle all the way to Deal. Location of chalet on park is perfect for playground for smaller ones and keeping an eye from decking with lovely views over the channel. Everything we needed was in property, especially in kitchen (pots, pans utensils) and with a dishwasher & washing machine made life easier. Bedrooms upstairs are lovely and beds comfortable but you need to get used to the sloped roof and be careful of shins on the wooden bed legs! As pointed out by owner stairs are very steep so take this into account but stair gates at top & bottom were perfect for peace of mind. Lounge Sofa does convert to a bed but you need to sit carefully as cushions are thinning and bars can catch you out! We loved our stay and definitely recommend it as a place to relax or base yourself to explore Kent.

I can't recommend highly enough. The property location on the site backs on to the sea with a view from the rear decked terrace and a great weber bbq. Having looked around Kingsdown Park, chalet 19 is definitely situated in one of the best locations and the ground floor layout is different and larger than most. The property was very clean, the kitchen was surprisingly well equipped, including a garlic crusher!! We were 3 adults and 3 children under 12 and there was plenty of room for us with comfortable beds and linen provided. Great, quality butcher in the local village, walking distance to the beach and of course a pub with fab food at the nearby Zetland Arms on the beach. The owner was very helpful and responded to any questions we had during our stay very promptly. A big thank you for a lovely stay and would definitely revisit.

This little get away was very much needed and the lodge was the perfect place to go. Amazing communication with the owner from booking to us leaving, beautiful area to explore, the site although not fully opened yet was more than enough to keep the kids entertained. Would highly recommend staying here.

The property was perfect for us. A good location if you are wanting to explore Dover and deal. It was right next to the playground which out kids loved we would sit on the back deck while they played ALL day. There was a great pub down on the beach with some really good food.

We had a lovely long weekend at No 19. The view of the sea from the back decking is stunning and the park is really quiet and well kept.The chalet was exactly as described and very cosy. A relaxing time was had by all.

I 💗 Kingsdown an idyllic getaway
Love Kingsdown and Chalet 19. The pubs have excellent food and the pub on the beach Zetland Arms is my favourite. It’s easy to get to Westwood Cross for shopping and has a charming cinema in Sandwich. There is a lovely coastal walk into Deal. Been here many times and never tire of it.
