Just one row back from the seafront, our cosy coastal cottage sleeps four in two bedrooms. The back bedroom even has a sea view! I never tire of gazing out.
Styled with a modern botanical flair and with comfort in mind this accommodation is perfect for families, couples & is dog friendly too. There's a very small, pebbled outside area to enjoy the fresh sea air.
Perfectly located for the beach, promenade and Deal High Street too. There is so much to enjoy within walking distance. If you are bringing your car you are in luck as there is unrestricted free on street parking which is a rarity in Deal.
It's such a friendly street too. In the afternoon/evenings the neighbours will be sunning themselves at the front of their houses on little benches that get moved outside when the weather is warm. We have our own little bench too for you to enjoy the late sun.
When the wind is in the right direction you can hear the waves braking on the beach even when you're inside the house as long as the windows are open!
We think you will love the super comfy beds with goose feather down duvets, the open plan living area with separate lounge and dining areas, the botanical-inspired decor and the 32 inch Smart TV.
A contemporary bathroom with shower, sink and toilet was fitted late 2021. Pleae note this is on the ground floor and there is no bath. The sleeping set up is a wooden double bed in the larger front bedroom with attractive black iron twin beds in the back bedroom. It is a small back bedroom that literally fits the beds, a console table, bedside table and some hooks for hanging clothes. Cases can slide under the beds. The stairs are a little steep with a very small handrail so the accommodation may not be suitable for the elderly (especially with the bathroom downstairs).
We welcome dogs too (the courtyard is little so the dog/s will need to be walked for exercise).
The cottage is situated at the North End of Deal behind Deal's Rowing Club. There is nothing nicer than stepping onto the beach in the early evening and watching the rowers glide to Deal Pier as the colours of the sky change over the pier.
Our award winning High Street with its independent shops selling contemporary arts, crafts and home furnishings is a few minute's walk away and there is a good choice of restaurants, wine bars and coffee shops. Historic Middle Street starts just around the corner with it's interesting array of fisherman cottages and the welcoming Ship pub is popular amongst the locals especially on the weekends.
For those new to Deal, Deal is on the East Kent coast and is an unspoilt British seaside town. There is so much to do here including exploring the beautiful coastline, countryside walks, visiting the two castles built by Henry VIII, great golfing opportunities with Championship links courses in the area and some lovely beach front pubs. You can even go seal spotting on a high speed rigid inflatable.
We are easy to reach by car or train from London (approx 1 hour and 20 mins from St Pancras) and just twenty minutes from the port of Dover.
