Overall, the ranch at Death Valley is a beautiful property. The restaurants and common areas were attractive and accommodating. My main criticism is the lodging buildings themselves. They are tired and uninviting. Hallways have worn out carpets and dim lightings. Room doors are of an era gone by with multiple coats of paint. Renovation funding for lodging areas are long overdue.

Room was very nice, has a very good museum, golf, swimming pool, stores and restaurants. Plenty to do and see since you're in Death Valley. I just stayed 1 night.

I am reviewing this on the second room we were given, which was lovely. Hotel facilities and location were great. We loved the restaurant for an evening meal in the saloon. However there were a couple of issues. The first room we were allocated in one of the blocks around the back of the property was awful. The communal corridor had dirt and fluff all over the carpet and the room itself, although the bed and bathroom were clean had a thick layer of dust around the edges the room. It looked like it hadn’t had the edges cleaned in a long time. It would not have taken much to clean this properly, just using the hose on the vacuum cleaner. We were moved straight away when we went back to reception so overall the stay was good in the end. Buffet breakfast didn’t have a very good selection and felt quite expensive for what we got.

Great property- beautiful, aptly named Oasis in Death Valley. We LOVED the pool and the grounds in general, enjoyed the ice cream shop and star gazing. Our cottage was lovely. The only negative was that the buffet was very expensive and the food was sub-par. We ate at the ice cream shop the next day and enjoyed our reasonably priced burgers.

Registration building restaurant buildings and store buildings were fabulous and grounds were excellent when you check in. That being said, I was on a 3 Week Rd. trip. That was the dirtiest and most expensive room I stayed in. Carpet had stains and wasn’t vacuumed hallway area outside the room was filthy. Comforter and sheet had old stains on them

A very well equipped property with delightful staff, excellent food options, lovely pool, great shopping facilities. Perfect location for exploring the highlights of Death Valley. It's much more than we would usually spend on accommodation but it was absolutely worth it. The washing machine in the apartment was a real bonus (& washing dries very very quickly in Death Valley!). Really quiet apartment - cottages are well spaced to allow privacy and reduce noise. Matthew from Mexico in the Last Kind Words restaurant was an absolute delight despite running the whole place almost single handedly. Will definitely recommend this place.

Super nice check in staff. Offered a small upgrade which was a nice gesture but the room didnt seem like and upgrade to what I booked and ended up with dirty carpet. Found nail clippings on the floor by walking without shoes on. Didn't bother with a room change since id unloaded the motorcycle already.

Beautiful hotel/resort style right in the park. Wish we had time to enjoy the amenities . Dinner was good at the steakhouse. Clean and comfortable room. One negative is the air did not cool to wjat it was set at, could be problematic in the summer.
