Nothing against the hotel itself but the neighborhood goes LOUD late Friday Saturday. There’s a club across the street so take that into consideration. I’m adaptable and was able to deal but if I had known probably would have picked a different location for those nights. Staff and property great though. Convenient location very helpful staff property car rides for near locations. The bar was super cool with great bartenders.

I lived staying in this historic hotel in downtown Denver. Greeted by the most friendly bellman. As soon as I arrived and spoke with the bellman he told me there was no free parking. The fee for anywhere in the local vicinity was $50/day. I wasn’t happy with that as it was adding another $150 to my trip. It wasn’t the hotels fault but the lack there of was a concern for me. Also, I’m supposedly a VIP with Hotels.com but my room looked out to a brick wall. There was no refrigerator or microwave in the room. I’m a huge water drinker so it was quite inconvenient. The night before I left a kind bartender told me of the water fountain next to the front desk that had water and carbonated water. It came out cold but didn’t stay that way for long in 97 degree days. The hotel and its staff are amazing and brings you back in time a bit. The location was perfect for my Ball Arena concert. The restaurant and bar attached to the hotel was excellent but extremely expensive. The bar staff were excellent and so friendly. I’d probably would stay again if I had business or events in the downtown Denver area.

Outstanding staff and room was very nice. The noise throughout the night coming from the street and the local bar was very bad. Try not to get a room facing the street. Noise was very bad until after 3am. Cannot sleep! We had an early AM flight on Sunday and had a long day due to a lack of sleep.

Great hotel in a good location
Very nice historic building, close to Union Station and Coors Field. (We walked to a Rockies game in under 10 minutes.) The staff is very attentive and prompt. This room had the nicest linens! Bed, sheets, towels...all super luxurious. Loved it.

Nice boutique hotel. Super close to Union Station and free 16th Street Mall Transportation. Terrific staff - rooms were nice. Good linens but bathroom had no shelving and no ventilation. All said, enjoyed this property and would stay again.

Large, well-appointed room. Very nice products in the bathroom. The bar was awesome, and the food in the hotel restaurant was excellent. The bourbon and whisky tasting in the lobby was a nice surprise! The continental breakfast was equally elegant and toothsome.

Great location for us - just across street from Union Station. Thus was very ez for us to walk over & take train to Denver airport. Overall this historic hotel was very nice; Very friendly & helpful staff. Room - nice size; spacious; clean. only items of note: -No minibar fridge available; no ice bucket; no ice on floor ( but can get both from check-in desk) ..& the evening we there they had Colorado Bourbon tasting at lobby at 5-7pm -Fussy older TV remote but got to work - The main 'hotel guest' wifi had no login password& when i got on my ipad pop up said it wasn't secure. .Thus i wasnt sure how secure it really was & so limited my activity. Idk . You might ask front desk what your options are if this a concern( they had multiple other networks available )

Just a Few "Nits"
Overall, our two night stay was very satisfying. And one consistent "5" rating goes to the friendly staff. Plus the bed was very comfortable, which is always a welcome thing. But there were just a few things which detracted a bit from our stay. One as that the toilet seat was loose. Of course, I know how to fix that, but I'm not fond of doing so in a highly-rated hotel. In addition, the balance on the bathroom door was such that it nearly closed itself even when we would have preferred it to be open. The last "nit" was that the window sill had quite a bit of dirt on it (actually the top of the closed window section on the bottom). It looked like it had not been wiped off for many months. In the scheme of things, it's no big deal (and it is an historic hotel), but I still found it a bit off-putting. Other than those somewhat minor things, our stay was great. I would recommend it to friends.
