As you scale the hotel food chain, you generally lose amenities as the price and star rating goes up. This is the best of both worlds. An affordable nightly rate in a hotel that feels luxurious, plus all the amenities you could want. Pool, hot tub, and a complementary breakfast. Not much more to ask for.

We enjoyed our visit! This is our second time staying. The first was a couple, the second was as a family. We liked our room with a balcony and the view of the river. Great location & breakfast. Only point of concern would be that half of the jets in the hot tub didn't work.

My stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites, downtown Des Moines, IA was very nice! I honestly don't remember the time I've had a better nights sleep at a hotel. Staff was very welcoming and professional and will most definitely stay here again!

One of our favorite Des Moines stays. We’ve done plenty of hotels in the area, and this one was the best. Great river view, comfortable bed, clean shower and decent sized restroom. Having a fridge and microwave a plus, and the swingable TV.
