Large home, walk to beach
This house has 2 separate units - 2 bedrooms, bath, kitchen on 1st floor and 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and living area/kitchen on 2nd floor. It is a great set up for 2 families or a large group. Kitchen were well stocked; upstairs sitting area is lovely and breezy. It is a 10 minute walk to the beach at the Fort Royal resort. The beach was great for swimming and very pretty. No one seemed to care that we were not staying there. We do not speak very good French and our host did not speak English. It would have been helpful to have a book explaining basic amenities and resources in the area. Even if in French only - it would have been helpful. We had some issues with lights that did not work and checkout; language barriers made it more difficult to resolve. However, Jacqueline, our host, was quite responsive. Of note - the hot tub is not hot - there is no cover so it is cool.
