Accommodation In Perak\n

Explore every corner of Perak in Malaysia and you’ll experience all that makes Southeast Asia special within one state. You’ll walk off glittering beaches on Pangkor Island into the warm blue sea while waterfalls, tropical animals and mesmerising temples wait in the lush rainforest behind you. You’ll explore Malaysia’s natural inland by sleeping in the jungle after spending the day visiting Chinese and Hindu temples hidden in limestone caves. You’ll walk the old-school streets of culturally-rich Ipoh to find the best club in its growing nightlife scene and partied until dawn with the locals. There’s plenty more but it’s better to do than to read, so book your Perak accommodation with us today and uncover the fearless traveller within you.

Pangkor Island is the most popular destination in Perak, and if you’re after days kicking back by the seaside away from it all, this is the place for you. It isn’t as well-known as Penang or Langkawi, and the crowds generally come and go with the weekend, but that makes this gorgeous island the perfect getaway.

Four Perak attractions are lined up perfectly to explore the mainland starting with sleepy Taiping near the east coast. Walking its streets is like exploring a quiet dream as you move from the still streets into the dazzling green Lake Gardens, where you can walk over the cool grass around serene lakes and over bridges to reach pagodas as clouds hang over the tops of hills in the background.

Make your way over those hills and you’ll reach Kuala Kangsar and then Bukit Larut, better known Maxwell Hill, the oldest hill resort in Malaysia. Both are worth a day of exploration. Kuala Kangsar has beautiful architecture, such as the flawless white towers and gold domes of Ubudiah Mosque. Meanwhile, Maxwell Hill has a mesmerising forest atmosphere and endless views over the coast on clear days.

Head further inland and you’ll finally arrive at Ipoh. Here you get a great taste of city life among awesome colonial surroundings, which can be seen in the arched designs and gardens of the railway station and in bridges around town. Some say that as Ipoh grows into a modern city, it is like Kuala Lumpur with more culture, and they are right. Days here will be spent taking pictures of the dazzling white buildings and clock towers, and eating your choice of dim sum, pizza, Italian and Chinese food at all sorts of prices, before sipping beer at Bandar Baru Medan.

And this is only the beginning when it comes to Perak. You may find yourself feasting on the best seafood of your life in Tanjung Tualang just an hour from Ipoh, or gazing at the leaning pagoda tower in Teluk Intan. It can all start with a flight to Malaysia and a booking at one of our Perak hotels, so wot’s stopping you?
