Great property for our purposes. Was nice to enjoy morning coffee on the deck. Only suggestion, our friends mentioned a fan (either floor or ceiling) to circulate the air in the basement bedroom would have been helpful at night.

Spring Green fun
This property did not disappoint. Every morning we met on the 2nd floor wrap around porch for coffee with binoculars and were dazzled by bird calls from warblers and vireo. During the days, we took short drives to Gov. Dodge, House, Tallesin, and the Wisconsin River towns. Every evening we gathered on the lower porch for a fire ring with drinks and dinner. Enough room on both levels for different activities including streaming entertainment and meditation. Groceries close by and some restaurants and 1 great supper club with muddled old fashions. It doesn't get better.

Clean and comfortable and close to outdoor activities. Some spots are closed in winter but Governor Dodge State park had great hiking. Local food is good too!

Awesome house - highly recommended
This is a fairly large older home on a wooded lot that has been thoughtfully renovated so that it is both modern and charming. It has two living areas, which would make it perfect for a larger group. It also has a large wraparound deck. I would give it 5 stars for the superior quality of the mattresses and bedding alone! The main floor living area furniture is nice and comfortable and the large dining table is a work of art. There is also a gas fireplace with a quiet blower. It has a very nice kitchen, but I didn’t cook there. The home was spotless. The owner was very responsive. I’ll definitely stay here again.

Has all you need for a quiet and relaxing stay.
We were three couples and enjoyed our stay at the property for a few days during November. Everything was in working order and comfortable, and the kitchen was fully equipped. The location was terrific as well, far away enough to take in the quiet environment but central to many of the local attractions nearby.

The place was so clean and had plenty of room for the 6 of us. We enjoyed our time there very much! About a 15 minute drive to Dodgeville, but it was an easy drive. Would definitely stay there again if we were going to be in the area.

Family Get Together.
What a wonderful spot to meet up with family. Enjoyed the home and location. Very remote but only 8 min from Governor Dodge. Beds were comfortable and lots of room to space out if needed. Thank you so much for your extra help before we left.

Great space for a friends weekend!
We had a group of 8 friends stay here for a weekend. We love to hang out, relax, and play games. This house was great for that as it had a lot of room for games on the dining room table, making meals together with seating at a snack bar in the kitchen, lots of comfy seating in the living room for relaxing, a lovely deck for stargazing, and a bonfire pit on the property. It was great staying somewhere that didn't get much traffic and felt more immersed in nature with the trees around the house. Governor Dodge was also a short drive away for hiking and the beaches. The property was also furnished with all the supplies we needed for a great weekend, including a variety of games. We all really enjoyed this house.

Pleasant and quiet stay
The house was very nice and would have fit a much larger party than us (3 adults 1 toddler). There were a few toys and books which was nice for my toddler. The location was VERY quiet and peaceful which we really enjoyed! We did have a strange issue with the hot water on the first night, but the hosts were responsive and solved it quickly. I will also mention that the slats on the railings of the older part of the 2nd floor deck are too far apart to be safe for very small children-- we just kept our kiddo off that part of the deck so it wasn't a problem for us, but it's something other guests might want to be aware of especially if they plan to have more kids running around. Overall a very pleasant experience!

Golfers Retreat
Went golfing at house on the rock resort, and this was a perfect place to go chill for the weekend. No cell service but they were on top of the ball with fast wifi. Overall happy with the stay.
