This is probably the most luxurious hotel in the surroundings, and if you are aware that you are in the countryside and that this is a former dormitory of the GDR worker's union you will be comfortable.

If you like a rural setting and enjoy nature walks while staying in a pleasant hotel, this is the hotel for you. A high point is their excellent breakfast buffet!

Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis wird nur durch viele Einschränkungen erreicht. Die Zimmer sind sehr klein, keine Extras wie Wasser oder Safe. Es gibt keinen regelmäßigen Zimmerservice. Die Rezeptionsdame geht schon 19.30 Uhr statt 20 Uhr. Die Treppen sind abgenutzt und schmutzig. Die Kinder rennen lärmend durch den Speisesaal. Das Essen wird nicht nachgefüllt. Beim Frühstück jeden Tag Rührei aus Eipulver, wenig Obst, 4 Apfelsinen für 100 Gäste. In der Sauna zu wenig Liegen. Das Tauchbecken ist verschlossen. Die Bar ist nur abends 2 Stunden geöffnet, zu klein und überfüllt und nebenan lärmen die Kinder. Es könnten zu den Cocktails ( 6 -9 Euro) Nüsse gereicht werden. Die Freizeitangebote sind gut: Schwimmbad, Sauna (zwei), Fitnes, Tennis, Bowling, Dart, Tischfußball, Billard - alles frei. Das läßt über weitere Mängel hinwegsehen.

Hotel liegt sehr ruhig.
Zimmer war in Ordnung. Die Matratzen waren sehr gut. Haben daher gut geschlafen. Frühstücksbüffett war nicht der Renner. Es gab vorwiegend Leberwurst, Blutwurst und Teewurst. Gegen 09:00 war alles schon leer. Die Platten und das frische Obst waren schon am Vorabend aufgelegt worden. Das hat man dann auch gemerkt. Es wurde dann aber nach und nach alles wieder aufgefüllt.

Das Hotel war gut zu finden. Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und kurz eingewiesen. Dann ging es zum Zimmer bei der Größe des Hotels eine kl. Weltreise aber wir haben es gefunden und es war sehr sauber und praktisch eingerichtet. Die erste Nacht war nicht so schön, da die Matratzen durchgelegen waren. Nach der Reklamation am Morgen hatten wir Abends nagelneue Matratzen und konnten gut schlafen. Das Frühstücksbuffet hat entschädigt, denn es war alles da was man sich wünscht. Da das Hotel ziemlich zentral im Thüringer Wald liegt lassen sich von dort aus wunderbar Unternehmungen planen. Nach schönen Wanderungen ging es Abends noch in die Sauna und ins Schwimmbad welche sehr sauber und gepflegt sind. Abendessen a la Carte war sehr gut und nochmals ein Lob für die gute Küche. So nun genug des Lobes, denn es gab auch Sachen, die nicht so schön waren. Die Anrichtung der Speisen am Abend waren immer unterschiedlich mal gab es zwei Toast, mal Keines, die Orangenfilets waren Pfirsiche und so setzten sich die Kleinigkeiten fort. Ich hatte in der Reisezeit Geburtstag, das Hotel hat mir eine Glückwunschkarte gefertigt die mir im Gang mit den Worten " Hier Karte " von der Reinigungskraft überreicht wurde, in der meiner Frau zum Geburtstag gratuliert wurde. Fazit: Sauber und Ordentlich mit Charakter einer Massenabfertigung

- die nette Aussicht und das reichhaltige Frühstück waren die besten Punkte dort - es ist ein in die Jahre gekommenes Relikt der SED-Partei... mein erster Eindruck der sich Nachaltig bestätigt hatte. Kaum Service, kaum bis garkein Internet-Empfang, teuer zu lösender Hot-Spot von pro Tag 4,95, Speisesaal wie ein eine Schulaula, alles sehr kalt und vermittelt keine Wärme. Viele Hunde im Hotel und Abends das gekläffe...ich bin Hundefreund...aber nach einen Arbeitstag reicht das denn auch...! Sportangebote sind vorhanden, alles ok! Anfahrt zum Hotel 12km aufstieg bei Winterlichen Verhältnissen ein Abenteuer. Alles in allen für mich nur war es einmal und nie wieder

Der Aufenthalt war sehr schön.Bowling auf zwei Bahnen war auch in Ordnung.Essen A`la carte ist sehr reichlich und Preiswert.Ehebetten sind nicht miteiander verbunden,Unfallgefahr!

Sehr ruhige lage, perfekt zum abschalten
Das Hotel liegt sehr ruhig,wer ruhe sucht findet sie hier garantiert.Die Zimmer sind zwar nicht supergross aber trotzdem schön eingerichtet und sehr sauber.Das bad ist etwas klein aber jeder hat da seine eigenen masstäbe wie wichtig das einem ist, fürs Duschen und was so anfällt reicht es aus.Das Essen am Frühstücksbüffett ist reichhaltig und es wird auch bis zum schluss noch nachgelegt, perfekt für den Start.Das Esssen im Restaurant Kräuterstube ist aber absolut top. Die Speisekarte ist zwar nicht superlang aber zeigt das man wert auf gute Hausmanskost legt.Der Geschmack ist prima und die Portionen sind schon als sehr gross zu werten.Da wird auch ein Starkesser satt.Das Personal im restaurant und im Hotel ist sehr nett und versucht auch Sonderwünsche zu erfüllen.Hier würde ich gerne jederzeit wieder übernachten.
