A very nice resort. One explanation for future guests. Some previous visitors complained about airplane noise (it's close to the airport) and local dogs barking. Pretty much between 10:30pm and 6:30am, this is not a problem, only before and after. If you time it right, you can get a good 8 hours of sleep in.

The property was very nice; there is a lot to do on the resort itself theres 3 pools, small farms with plants and animals and some trails. Our lights went out halfway and then completely on the first night but the staff fixed it quickly. The property was very clean and the staff was very nice and friendly. We also booked a tour through the hotel to La Fortuna and Luis was our guide HE WAS AMAZING, very nice man kind and good hearted if you go on a tour request him you will not be disappointed i enjoyed my day with him as our guide and if i go back id request him!

There is no a/c but it was still comfortable. Our villa ran out of hot water fast but our friends villa didn’t. Hot tub tepid. Beautiful property, artsy, gardens, close to airport. Gorgeous views. Nice bedding.

We had a great honeymoon at Xandari! The grounds were absolutely breathtaking, and really easy to maneuver around. We wish we would've taken advantage of the spa during our stay, hut we didn't have time. Only issues we had were that our power went out a couple times when it rained and one night we had to wait till the next day for it to come back on. Other than that, everything was beautiful and an exciting way to experience Costa Rica for the first time!

Luis and Maurice were very professional and helpful during our stay. Luis helped us with arranging activities and transportation. Maurice served us during breakfast and dinner and a lady who was always smiling and gracious. The ladies who cleaned our rooms provided towels and toiletries when needed. The spa service was excellent! When it rained hard, water did enter through the front door. So I am sure it needs to be sealed. Overall, the stay was refreshing and the scenery and grounds are beautiful.

Costa Rica is an oxymoron very beautiful but now so expensive dinner at this hotel over $134 with no alcoholic beverages. Stopped in at Denny’s Denny’s breakfast for one person was $44 a burger and one cola $36. This country is gonna price itself right out of the tourism business and it’s extremely difficult to get around especially to that hotel. You would not believe the route to get to it. I am shocked. I didn’t get mugged or worse.

From the second Luis picked us up at the airport we were in heaven. it truly was such a special special place. the food was amazing, the spa was a once in a life time experience with a hot tub overlooking the jungle followed by the most magical massage. We will definitely be back. All of the staff Luis and sol were so kind. Every server, everyone in the office, everyone at the spa. Just stunning. We went on a 3 mile hike to see all the wonderful waterfalls and took a swim in the pool over looking Costa Rica. We will most definitely be back.

Note that flight paths go over the hotel. About five times a day but the important thing being that two of these are at six in the morning which means you're unlikely to sleep later if you're a light sleeper! The property has a nice trek locally. Waterfall five is the only one worth visiting though! The ping pong table was out of action while we were there which was disappointing. We were able to book a volcano tour via the hotel. The driver Luis was great and very friendly. He gave us plenty of information which made us enjoy the tour even more! Restaurant food was good. Good variety but would have been good to have more options locally or cheaper travel to/from town.

I’ve been going to this hotel for years. The grounds are beautiful but over the years the rooms have just not been maintained well. It is sad because I love this place but it needs a facelift.

Everything on the property was excellent.The staff was great.The service was great. Could use a separate option for restaurant and better Transportation to and from the airport
