Wonderful Location
We loved this VBRO. It was perfect for our family of 4. The lift was easily accessible, just a short walk before you put on skis. You come off the hill right at the parking spot for the unit. Some of the other units at the resort have a longer trek, so this was nicely located for easy access to the hill. It was a beautiful home, very clean, comfortable beds. We had a great time! It snowed a lot during our stay and they were quick to plow the road and shovel our walkway, which was a nice surprise. Like other reviews, you do have to hit the security office first to pick up the key, which isn't the most convenient, but that appears to be for all the units at this resort. Unsure what you'd do after hours. We also had a hard time finding where to put our garbage when we left. The parking for this unit is one condo over, so a little more work if you have any physical issues. This was a not a problem for us. This was one of the few units we saw that did not have a hot tub. But there was a fire pit where the hot tub would sit, which the others didn't appear to have. So depends on your preference. It sleeps six (2 on hide-a-bed) but would be crowded with that many in the winter. Even for four, they could use some more seating. The couch comfortably holds three, then there is an accent chair that isn't very functional and the two table chairs. We happened to toss in some camp chair for outside and used those inside to watch some games and a movie.

This cottage is both cozy and comfortable. It was nice and quiet and close to all the things we wanted to do during our stay. The kitchen was well appointed and the beds were comfortable. An overall win!

Would stay again. Pictures of property need to be updated to show accurate dining room table. Current pictures show a table with 4 chairs which is not accurate. With a party of 4 you need to eat at the kitchen island which is not as comfortable. The listing should explain the requirements to take the trash to a dump site which is very inconvenient. It would be nice to have trash cans in the garage and then provide taking the garbage to the dump site as Part of the service fee.

My wife and I enjoyed the cabin very much. Nice and quiet and warm and comfortable. If you are going to watch DVD's bring your own power strip to plug the DVD player into. The power bar there is maxed out.

Beautiful property. Great location. Easy access to the resort. No explanation on how to get key cards. You have to find how things work. Thermostat controls, good luck. Trash, search for the answer. Top outlets don't work. Grill was disgusting when I got there.

Convenient Cabin
This cabin was perfect for our visit to Tamarack Ski Resort. We came in later in the day so I was not able to see the security sign to pick up the key card to enter the cabin. It might have been easier to have a lockbox near the door or even a keypad entry, but we had fun driving around and exploring the property and found someone that was very helpful and directed us. It was a wonderful place for our family to vacation.

Tamarack stay
This is a nice unit. The problem is with the poor housekeeping in the unit. There are other references to this in past reviews of this property and it appears nothing has been done to remedy this problem. Upon our arrival the sheets in the king bed in the master bedroom were not clean (they had hair on them). I removed them and there were no replacements. I washed them but found wet towels and sheets in the dryer. I had to dry those and put them away. I went to do a second load of wash (an extra blanket that didn't look clean) and the washing machine stopped working. Carpets in the master bedroom are stained. There was not enough dishwasher soap and barely enough hand soap for our stay. I would appreciate a refund of the cleaning deposit since the work I had to do as a guest is unacceptable. It appears that the Vacasa management company is doing the bare minimum for cleanliness and care of this unit. Very disappointing.

Good and disappointing
The cabin has several repairs that are needed. Screen doors fall off the tracks, a chair leg was broken, several light bulbs were burned out. Crumbs and garbage under beds and couch. Several restaurants in the resort were closed and had to drive to McCall to eat. Resort pool was nice

Small get-a-way
The house and location are fun. Pretty basic amenities though; there is no hot tub, there is a DVD player but no Apple TV, and very few kitchen supplies. Come ready to entertain yourself with the natural beauty of the area and if you plan to cook, bring every ingredient. The house worked well for me and my two grade-school kids although they were a bit disappointed by lack of technology in regards to TV/games. The hiking out the front door is nice. Easy access to trails and huckleberries in July.

Great location for skiing
Nice cozy place. Can ski in and out easily. If you plan to cook be sure to bring your own items, this place has fewer than most others so if you have become used to cooking spray, tin foil, etc you will need to bring your own.
