Clean hotel, but due to its location it’s very noisy at night. I constantly was woken up by either people in the hallway or outside noise. Also they couldn’t accommodate a late check out which was a first ever for me.

We reached there by 3:35 PM (Little early for check-in). As soon as I waled to the front desk, the person was attending another guest so waited. They did not even look at me forget about greeting! After a few minutes they asked why I'm here? I told that I have a reservation and need to check-in. They (Mike is the name I guess) told "Systems are down, Can't check you in. You need to wait and I can't tell you when they will be up and running". Not even an eye contact forget about the sorry. They behaved like we were there to stay for free and they are doing us a charity. Waited 30 mins and surprisingly he called quite a few people waiting like us for check-in except us. I went there stood in the line and they checked us in. Again... no sorry or excuses for keeping us waiting. My reservation was with the third party (Hotels.com) which has 20% off on the valet parking. Front office fellow not ever tried to listen to what I was saying and asked to deal with the "third party". Another thing I observed that there was a board outside the hotel about the valet fees for the guests. My credit card was charged $9 extra to what is on the board. Room was decent, linens looked clean. Hall walk ways are dull without any Air conditioning. Elevators/ Lifts were stinking without any Air conditioning. Breakfast was a typical American and options were very less and the taste was below average. I do not recommend to buy and eat the breakfast here unless it is included free!

Front desk person at check-in could have been more courteous. Did not say”hello or good evening”. Simply asked “May I see your ID?” as he came out from the back office” to attend to us. It felt like I walked into a police precinct looking for assistance instead of checking into the hotel for a night stay. I guess it goes with that area…. Not sure.

My mother and I had a pleasant experience. The staff was pleasant and attentive. The room was ready right when we arrived, and it was clean. If I come back to DC, this location will be my first choice to stay.
